Comedy based on a character created for the 2003 sitcom Gauteng-alêng-alêng, which spun off into the 2007 film Poena is Koning, as well as the follow-up TV movies Poena (2020) and Poena en Poenie (2021).
In the series we meet Poena Pieterse (Robbie Wessels) who has lost his job as a singer on a cruise ship and lives with his unemployed cousin Poenie (Kaz McFadden) at his grandfather Poen's (At Botha) house.
Also living there is Poen's beloved Coco de Kok (Liane Heyl) and her daughter Chanel (Lauren Botha).
Needless to say it is chaos with so many people under one roof.
Poen decides to move to Paternoster where he gets into all kinds of trouble with his friend Vis (Lochner de Kock), while Poena and Poenie take over Poen's Plumbing.
Their marketing tagline for the business is "We are number one in the number two game".
But it is not only plumbing that keeps them busy – they also work on their other dreams.
Poena is still dreaming of becoming a successful singer and luckily he has music producer Elton Lamoer (Reginald Hufkie) to help him along the way.
Then there is Shakira Haasbroek (Danielle Retief), the sexy pole dancer who has caught Poena's eye...

It starts as a small stream at the source in the north-western corner of Zambia and grows to be a mighty river.

The downstream journey takes the team on an adventurous excursion.
The floodplains of Barotseland, Matusadona National Park and Mana Pools, some of the most beautiful areas on the African continent, are to be found on the banks of the river.
There are less than 10 bridges across the Zambezi, and no roads, leading to the mouth in the Indian Ocean.
Yet the team manages to complete the journey in three months.
Iin the Season 11 premiere: The team leaves Pretoria and travels via Botswana to Zambia.
In Zambia the first stop is Livingstone, and from there Kafue National Park and the Busanga Plains.
After more than a week they reach Ikelenge and the source of the Zambezi.

Social challenges such as HIV infection, gender-based violence, early unintended pregnancy, drugs and substance abuse are some of the matters dealt with in the series.
The show aims to step up public communication around uncomfortable topics relating to CSE, including the integration of pregnancy prevention, sexual diversity and transactional sex.
Breaking the Silence is a myriad of responses from the DBE and its partners to address the various challenges around CSE, including GBV.
The platform created is to aid educators in addressing pregnancy prevention, gender and gender diversity, alcohol, and drug use prevention through their delivery of CSE in the classroom.

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell were among the original cast members of the Nickelodeon sketch-comedy series All That when they received their own sitcom in 1996.
Set in Chicago, the show follows the kid-friendly misadventures of two high-school friends who are always scheming and dreaming.
Kenan, who works at a grocery store, constantly devises crazy plans to strike it rich; while orange-soda-loving buddy Kel is always dragged along for the ride despite his track record for messing things up.
In the series premiere, "The Tainting of the Screw": Kenan and Kel are preparing to spend a Saturday at home watching the Bulls game on TV.
