SCANDAL Former TV golden boy Katlego Maboe was arrested earlier this month for contempt of court and appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate's court four days later. According to News24 - and logical reason - the case involves his ex Monique Muller who accused him of giving her an STD last year after cheating.

RIP Multi-faceted actor, music composer, director and producer Sam Phillips (Soul City, Jacob's Cross, Kings of Jo'burg) died on Saturday (16 January). The news was announced by his daughter Mpumi and agent Gaenor Artiste Management. He was 72.

WTF?! Moja Love endangered people's lives on Saturday (16 January) when hopefuls were arrested at auditions at the Booysens Hotel in Joziburg, Fighting broke out and Covid protocols were broken. INSANE that the channel thought it was okay to have open auditions in the flesh when everyone else is doing virtual.

RIP Prolific actress Lindiwe Ndlovu (Zabalaza, Ses'Top La, Lockdown, Umlilo, Isono) died on Monday, 11 January. Her agent Lynne Higgins of Gaenor Artiste Management told TimesLIVE that she died of medical complications in her sleep and that she doesn't know if it was Covid related. Lindiwe was 44.

CASTING Three actors debut as new characters on Rhythm City this week: Kabelo Moalusi (Generations, The Queen), Mpho Sebeng (Ring of Lies, Zero Tolerance) and newcomer Limakatso Mokhiti. Kabelo plays Pastor Busang Makoro, who believes boozing and dating multiple girlfriends isn't a sin.
