ABOUT

Previously known as Zone Reality, the channel was rebranded CBS Reality in December 2012 by owners CBS Studios International and Chello Zone, whose CBS Chello Zone UK Channels was a portfolio of six UK entertainment channels owned by the CBS partnership, a joint venture established in September 2009.

The channels included CBS Reality, CBS Reality +1, CBS Drama, CBS Action, Horror Channel and Horror Channel +1 and feature a broad assortment of drama, reality and long form content from CBS's extensive television library, complemented by entertainment programming from third party suppliers.

The rebranding to CBS Reality meant the channel was reprogrammed to include series and movies from the CBS Studios International library, including 48 Hours and Judge Judy.

AMC Networks acquired Chellomedia (the owners of Chello Zone) on 2 February, 2014 and Chellomedia was rebranded by AMC Networks International on 8 July, 2014.

Positioning itself as "the home of compelling documentaries and hard-hitting real life dramas" the channel outlasted its two sister channels CBS Drama and CBS Action, both of which closed on 31 October, 2016.

Shows to have aired on CBS Reality include Murder Made Me Famous, Bondi Rescue, Paranormal Survivor, Famous Feuds, Close Calls on Camera, Broke and Famous, Evidence of Evil, Voice of a Serial Killer, Extreme Collectors, Rumble & Hum, Written in Blood, World's Most Evil Killers, Celebrity Damage Control, Sins & Secrets, Donal MacIntyre's Murder Files and Scandal Made Me Famous.
