eExtra is a South African digital satellite television channel which replaced the defunct eKasi+ channel on OpenView HD, offering a variety of premium entertainment in HD including sitcoms, drama series, reality, telenovelas, court shows, lifestyle and movies.

ABOUT
eExtra was announced on Friday 3 March, 2017 as a replacement for OpenView HD's flagship channel eKasi+ in direct response to the feedback from viewers who wanted more series, according to e.tv's GM: Group Content Services, Ziyanda Mngomezulu.
The channel went live on Saturday 1 April, 2017, at 05h00, broadcasting 24 hours. It was added to DStv on 17 May, 2017, along with three other e.tv channels: eMovies+ (Channel 138), eMovies Extra (Channel 140) and eToonz+ (Channel 311).
eExtra offers a variety of premium entertainment in HD, including sitcoms, drama series, reality, telenovelas, court shows, lifestyle and movies. The channel was positioned as "young, urban, modern and cosmopolitan."
The channel offers more series and movies than its predecessor, with predominantly international shows. At launch, some of the titles broadcast were House, Mayday, Burn Notice and Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce.
