CBS Action is a UK television channel which was broadcast in South Africa on the DStv satellite platform which brands itself as "home to action-packed dramas, tense thrillers, sci-fi favourites and fast paced movies that will keep you hooked".
It features content from the world's leading TV content supplier - CBS Studios International - but also acquires programming from selected third-party suppliers, and is owned by CBS Chello Zone.

Introduced to the DStv package with three other channels in the Chello Zone stable (CBS Drama, JimJam and MGM) in November 2013, CBS Action was available across Africa with a raft of CBS series.
Following the success of the channel in the UK, CBS Action was the home of action-packed American dramas, tense thrillers, sci-fi favourites and fast paced movies.
Popular shows included NCIS, Chuck Norris favourite Walker, Texas Ranger, Gunsmoke, Kung Fu and The District, along with the digitally re-mastered Star Trek – The Original Series and The Next Generation and action-packed feature films every night.
Other series to broadcast on CBS Action in South Africa included F/X: The Series, Jake and the Fatman, The Twilight Zone, Mission: Impossible, The Sentinel, Special Unit 2, Burke's Law, Philly, Stephen King's The Golden Years, Dallas (the original), Judge Judy and SOF: Special Ops Force.
Launched in November 2009 in the UK, CBS Action is part of CBS Chello Zone UK Channels, a growing portfolio of entertainment channels in the U.K, owned by CBS Studios International and international broadcaster Chello Zone.
CBS Chello Zone UK Channels is a portfolio of six UK entertainment channels owned by the CBS Chello Zone UK Channels Partnership, a joint venture established in September 2009 between CBS Studios International and Chello Zone.
