Beter Assie Bure 3

Channel: SABC2
TX Time: 19h00
Genre: Game Show, Afrikaans

Beter Assie Bure 3

Game show that pits two families against each other in every episode as they participate in fun games with the aim of winning up to R30,000 and being crowned the Beter assie Bure winners.

Family - you spend so much time together, but how well can you rely on people you know?

Beter assie Bure is a family game show that questions exactly this, celebrating the special bonds between family members and friends.

The two families/friends, guided by host Chanelle Davids and resident pianist Rocco de Villiers, compete in six different fun-filled activities in a modern take on traditional parlour games for an Afrikaans-speaking audience.

Four team members - of which two must be related and spanning two generations - compete against another team in a range of games that challenge their general knowledge and music sensibility.

Contestants are also tested on their ability to write lyrics and perform a well known song.

The families are all from the greater Cape Town area – though one team travelled all the way from George to be part of the show.

Asking the questions and and keeping it all together is Vincent Mofokeng, supported by Rocco de Villiers behind the piano.

TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Motoring, Special

Top Gear: Nepal Special

Top Gear sets out on perhaps its toughest road-trip ever - a high-altitude voyage from Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, to the Forbidden City of Lo Manthang, a secretive kingdom perched high on the Tibetan plateau, on the far side of the Himalayas.

It is a five-day expedition through the highest mountains, deepest gorges and harshest terrain on the planet.

On their journey, the Top Gear presenters battle river crossings, mudslides and dizzying mountain passes on a trip that would test even the hardiest new 4x4s on the planet to the limit.

But Paddy, Freddie and Chris aren't crossing the Himalayas in new 4x4s.

They are crossing the Himalayas in a very small old Peugeot, a very small old Renault and Nepal's first (and only) home-built car.

Season 2 of the drama finds Takeshi Kovacs, the lone surviving soldier of a group of elite interstellar warriors, continuing his centuries old quest to find his lost love Quellcrist Falconer.

After decades of planet-hopping and searching the galaxy, Kovacs finds himself recruited back to his home planet of Harlan's World with the promise of finding Quell.

Haunted by his past and responsible for investigating a series of brutal murders, Kovacs is stunned to discover his new mission to solve the crime and his pursuit to find Quell are one and the same.

With the help of his loyal A.I. Poe, Kovacs must now partner with new allies to outwit his enemies and find the truth: Who is Quellcrist Falconer?

Haha Timone. Too right about the promos. Talk about flogging a dead horse. (In related news, who knew we had an emoji for flogging a dead horse?)

Quite a fun fact about the emoji!
