South Africa's analogue switch-off date has been postponed again. Was supposed to happen on 31 March and didn't. This means that millions of viewers won't lose their access to TV. Yet. According to TimesLIVE, newly appointed communications minister Mondli Gungubele will continue consultations with affected parties (e.g free-to-air broadcasters) before scheduling a new switch-off date.

It's a hlaudi day with thunderstorms for former SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng who has to pay back R11.5 million + interest within seven days. The High Court has ruled he has to return the "success bonus" he received from the SABC for brokering the deal with MutliChoice involving the SABC archives. It's been ruled unlawful and invalid. If he doesn't pay, the SABC pension fund has to cough up. They have to use Hlaudi's pension funds to pay.
