Actor, director, comedian, writer and arts activist Soli Philander died on Wednesday 4 March 2026 as a result of cancer. His friend Noel Oostendorp made the announcement on Facebook. We regard Soli as an arts activist because of the stand he took against what he called "corporate scheming" and "unethical behaviour" on e.tv's Let's Fix It. Soli hosted the first season and left the show before Season 2 when they introduced a retail chain as a sponsor. He said it had become an infomercial and he wasn't prepared to compromise his integrity. Viva Soli, viva! >>
