This is the story of a family from Usak who migrates to Istanbul.
Cennet, who worked since she was young and preparing for marriage, married Yilmaz, whom she fell in love with.
She came to Istanbul from her village as a bride and was married for almost 40 years, raising three children.
The marriage started with good times but soon turned to bad times as Cennet became a victim of dometic violence.
The series begins as her life ends with paralysis and death, leaving behind three tearful children and her husband.
However, after her funeral a letter emerges which wreaks havoc with the family's belief system..
Cennet wrote a letter before her death, blaming her husband for it.
This causes division between the siblings: Feride, who always loves her father unconditionally and stands by his side; Birsen, who is used to obeying everything so as not to be harmed; and Halil, who has not been with his father for a long time.
As a result of her research over time, Cennet's lawyer manages to find evidence to prove the accuracy of this claim.
This isn't difficult, because Yilmaz is a man who has been violent to his wife and to his children all of the time.
Although this is known by everyone around them, no one has dared to stand up to the abuse, instead they remain silent.
The letter Cennet leaves before she dies is proof that shows the truth with crystal clarity.
Although it is painful for the three siblings to decide where they stand and to return to their unfinished reckoning in the past, in time they decide to heal their wounds and begin the struggle to become a family again.
Meanwhile, a great love arises between Halil and Zeynep, the lawyer who deals with his mother's case.
