Semi-Detached

Channel: BBC Brit (DStv 120)
TX Time: 20h40
Genre: Comedy

Semi-Detached

Each episode lays out in real time and is exactly like 24, except instead of following a government agent as he saves the planet, the series follows a perennial loser called Stuart as his life goes down the pan in a suburban cul-de-sac.

All Stuart wants is a quiet life as a wedding DJ but his family seems to have other ideas.

On top of barely coping with a (much younger) partner April and a newborn baby, Stuart also has to look out for his jailbird brother Charlie and his promiscuous, drug-taking Dad Willie.

Then there's the ex-wife Kate, who lives across the cul-de-sac with their teenage daughter Madonna and Kate's husband Ted, who thinks he's better than Stuart because he sells fish to sushi restaurants.

In the series premiere: Things haven't been going well for Stu and April since the birth of their baby.

Faced with a make-or-break date, Stu has to contend with disruptions from his inappropriate Dad, extortionist brother and an almighty argument erupting next door.

Date My Family 7

Channel: Mzansi Wethu (DStv 163)
TX Time: 18h30
Genre: Dating Game Show

Date My Family 7

Singles who are looking for love are sent on dates with the families of three potential partners, and must decide who to date based solely on the impression their family gives.

In the Season 7 premiere we meet 31-year-old Mandla Radebe, who describes himself as a people's person and an aspiring entrepreneur. He is looking for a lady who communicates well.

Will Mandla find the woman of his dreams?

Hoops

Channel: Netflix South Africa
TX Time: 10h00 (all episodes)
Genre: Animation, Comedy

Hoops

Animated sitcom that centers on a hot-headed, foul-mouthed high school basketball coach who thinks turning around his awful team will take him to the "big leagues" and turn his miserable life around.

Good luck with that.

Jake Johnson (New Girl) and Rob Riggle (The Hangover) lend their voices to this raunchy take on high school hoops.

Lucifer 5

Channel: Netflix South Africa
TX Time: 10h00 (all episodes)
Genre: Fantasy, Police Procedural, Comedy-Drama, Horror

Lucifer 5

Lucifer, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles.

Here he gets his kicks helping the LAPD... and the savvy detective Chloe Decker in particular.

In Part A of season 5, Lucifer's twin brother Michael secretly takes the devil's place on Earth while he's back in Hell.

Eventually, Lucifer must return and face the mess his brother made with his life.

He'll also finally confront his feelings for Chloe, and answer a question fans have been asking since the very beginning: "Will they or won't they?"

Rust Valley Restorers 3

Channel: Netflix South Africa
TX Time: 10h00 (all episodes)
Genre: Docu-Reality, Motoring, Reality Makeover

Rust Valley Restorers 3

Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains is one of the most unique car communities in the world: Rust Valley.

You can't miss it: acres upon acres of old and abandoned cars; a junkyard as far as the eye can see.

And at its heart is a remarkable restoration shop run by a team of colourful and charismatic characters who use their impressive skills and experience to restore, trade and sell classic cars – transforming piles of rust into collectible car treasures.

Old-school auto collector Mike Hall, his pal Avery Shoaf and son Connor Hall go the extra mile to restore retro cars - and hopefully turn a profit.

In the Season 3 premiere, Mike keeps buying cars quicker than he can restore them, Avery and Connor visit the Motor City, and Cassidy gets cranking on a personal project.
