Channel: SABC3
TX Time: 19h30
Genre: Documentary Series

Celebrated Love 2

Celebrates the incredible journeys in life, love and marriage of some prominent South African couples, as they navigate the challenges that married life brings.

Celebrated Love explores how relationships can survive and even thrive through the highs and lows of long term commitment and tells the love stories of eight couples, whose marriages have stood the test of time, proving that love can still flourish in contemporary times and that the sanctity of marriage still holds its own.

The couples featured in this season include local actors and soap stars Salamina and Howza Mosese, singing stage-and-screen couple David Johnson and Bianca le Grange, actors and fitness fanatics Clint and Steffi Brink, chef and her graphic designer husband Siba and Brian Mtongana and entertainer and TV host Emo Adams and his model-turned-businesswoman wife Michelle Gildenhuys-Adams.

We also join in the love-celebrations of media/philanthropy/business couple Gerry and Kerry Elsdon, the adventurers and record-breaking couple Riaan and Vasti Manser, and renowned scriptwriter and producer Paul C. Venter and his much younger wife, finance-student and homemaker Saarkie.

Using the traditional marriage vows to guide the narrative arc, the show investigates how each couple has managed to keep their promises to each other alive, and where they have fallen short.

They open up about all the joys, excitement and intensity that come with married life, but also speak candidly about the challenges and hardships they have had to face to make their marriages a success and build a rock-solid foundation for their families.

Dance Around the World

Dance Around The World sees three of the most talented European dancers take on a global quest to find the beating heart and cultural roots of indigenous street dance.

Londoner Suzette is a choreographer working with Dua Lipa; Kym Jay boasts a CV dancing for Madonna; and Maren has made her name as one of the most intimidating b-girl forces on competition circuit.

The cast may have performed in street dance battles across the world, but this show takes them far beyond their comfort zone.

Throughout this series, to honour the stories they hear, the cast will learn the moves they witness, and pay tribute to each culture by choreographing and performing routine to an audience of the people they've met.

9/11 Pentagon Special

Utilising original interviews, new information and dramatic visualizations, this documentary brings you inside America's capital city on September 11, when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the western face of the Pentagon, killing 125 people.

The image of the twin towers falling to the ground is forever burned into the memories of those who lived through 9/11.

But on this day, 34 minutes after the second tower was struck, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the western face of the Pentagon, killing 125 people.

Though just a fraction of the total loss of life that day, what happened in Washington D.C. is an important and under-reported part of the 9/11 story.

9/11: The Final Minutes of Flight 93

On September 11, 2001, one hijacked plane never reached its target when United 93 crashed in rural Pennsylvania.

Now, for the first time, previously classified streams of evidence are combined to piece together what really happened in a minute-by-minute account.

Evidence includes secret service documents, air traffic control transmissions, phone records, voicemails, first person testimony and a top-secret audio recording that may reveal the details of Flight 93's crucial final moments.

It's the story of heroism in the face of tragedy, and it sheds new light on the biggest mysteries of that fateful flight.

Life Below Zero: Canada

Based on the BBC Studios format Life Below Zero, the Canadian adaptation follows a diverse group of individuals from different cultural backgrounds, including Canadians, First Nations and Swiss trappers, giving an unfiltered glimpse into how they survive in the coldest and most remote regions of Northern Canada.

Filmed across the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Northern Ontario, with a crew of six people, 120 days travelling and over 500 hundred hours of footage shot, the eight-part docu-series captures the stories of five 'off the grid' Canadians who must navigate through deadly weather, with limited resources, to seek out food, water and shelter.

From long, dark, frozen winters to sweltering, bug-infested summers, Life Below Zero: Canada captures the day-to-day trials of people living in unforgiving environments.

The stars of the series include Becky Broderick, who left Sudbury, Ontario to start a family in the wilderness; Bentley Kakekayash, who was born in a remote North Caribou Lake First Nations community only knowing life in the bush; "Pike" Mike Harrison, a self-professed "lone wolf", who has spent the last two decades living in isolation in a cabin he built himself; and best friends Kim Pasche and Pierre-Yves Duc who moved from Switzerland 10 years ago to live off the land in the Yukon.
