Hosts and judges Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli lead these amazing young bakers through tasty challenges designed to show off their creativity and baking prowess, from gravity-defying cakes to outrageous ice cream sandwiches.

At stake is a sweet prize package that includes a huge $25,000 in prize money.

This season, the challenges are tougher than ever and the creations even more spectacular.

From making cupcakes featuring Duff's favourite ingredient, bacon, to animal-print mini cheesecakes, the young bakers must demonstrate their baking skills and culinary imagination in even more outlandish ways.

In the Season 6 premiere, "Bakin' with Bacon": it's no secret that Valerie loves lemon, but Duff's favourite ingredient is revealed in this season's kick-off challenge - bacon cupcakes.

Each of the 12 young bakers must make a cupcake featuring bacon and an assigned ingredient like maple, chocolate or cherry.
