Cosmos 3: Possible Worlds

In the vastness of time and the immensity of space, the number of worlds to explore and stories to tell are virtually infinite.

The brainchild of creator, executive producer, director and writer Ann Druyan, this 13-episode season continues the legacy Druyan began with Carl Sagan 40 years ago.

It's a triumphant voyage through humanity's past, present and future, taking viewers to previously uncharted territories and turning complex themes of science and exploration into a mind-blowing adventure beyond the realms of the imagination.

Approximately 13.8-billion years in the making — the age of the universe  — Cosmos: Possible Worlds, hosted by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, is a wonder-filled journey that maps a hopeful vision of our future.

We are living in the golden age of discovery of new worlds to explore and possibly inhabit. In the vastness of time and the immensity of space, their number and the stories they contain are virtually infinite.

The new season will reveal previously uncharted realms, including lost worlds and worlds to come, and those that we may one day inhabit in a thrilling future we can still have.

The episodes integrate state-of-the-art VFX, stylised animation and dramatic reenactments to carry viewers deep into the future and through that hole in the curtain of reality.

Season 17 will see the return of serial investor Deborah Meaden, technology titan Peter Jones, fashion retail tycoon Touker Suleyman, supplement supremo Tej Lalvani and new Dragon, Sara Davies.

Sara, 35 years old, founded Crafter's Companion, a retail business 13 years ago from her bedroom at university.

She now turns over £34-million a year and employs more than 190 staff in UK, the US and across Europe.

She is the recipient of over 25 business awards and in 2016 she was recognised for services to the economy with an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

In the Season 17 premiere, a spiced rum entrepreneur gets the party started by giving the den a rock 'n' roll makeover.

A husband and wife team bring along a four-legged friend to help them achieve their ambition for their pet food business.
