Inspired by the television series and feature film, this 2017 series stars Shemar Moore as a locally born S.W.A.T. sergeant newly tasked to run a specialised tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles.

Torn between loyalty to the streets where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, former Marine Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson (Moore) has everything it takes to successfully bridge the divide between his two worlds.

With Hondo leading the charge, these dedicated men and women bravely put themselves at risk to protect their community and save lives.

In the Season 2 premiere, "Shaky Town": The SWAT team engages in a standoff with human traffickers holding child hostages when a major earthquake hits Los Angeles during their operation and compromises the takedown.

Also, while Hondo forms an unexpected personal connection with Deputy District Attorney Nia Wells, Jim Street has trouble adjusting to his new life as a patrol officer.

John is a trapper by trade and to prepare for winter, he must earn enough money to obtain the supplies he needs.

Marty Meierotto and his family live in the small Alaskan town of Two Rivers. Every month, Marty pilots his bi-plane, traveling into the bush in search of the wolverine and lynx pelts he needs to make a living.

While he's on the Black River, he must hunt moose and caribou to survive in the wilderness.

In the Season 4 premiere, "America the Beautiful": Claire and Jamie cross paths with Stephen Bonnet, a pirate and smuggler who enlists their help.

Claire illuminates Jamie on some of America's history, leading him to wonder if it's possible for them to lay down roots.

My goodness I must get on with it with Outlander! I have yet to finish season 2
