Nashville 6

Nashville - now in its final season - follows country stars Juliette Barnes, Deacon Claybourne and the Highway 65 family as they strive to keep Rayna Jaymes' dream alive and pursue their music while juggling relationships, family, and the ever-changing industry.

As the sixth season begins, and with New Year's Eve looming, Deacon looks to distract himself from his own loneliness, but falls short despite the best efforts of people around him.

After an onstage meltdown, Juliette seeks to rid herself of self-doubt and the burden of unforgiving country music fans from an unlikely source.

Maddie gets invited to perform at a benefit in Los Angeles where she meets Jonah Ford, pop music's newest and hottest young star.

Following their personal and professional split, Gunnar and Scarlett struggle to find their voices as solo artists.

Will attempts to keep smiling after his own break-up with Zach.

Genius

Great inventions are rarely made in isolation. Usually, they build on the work of remarkable men and women who went before.

And sometimes the drive to discover is fuelled by tremendous rivalry – the desire to be the first, especially when others are aiming for the same goal.

From the personal to the political, in Genius we discover the real stories of the visionaries – known and unknown – who struggled to change our world.

Stories filled with hope and triumph but also with deceit and treachery.

From Edison and Tesla's war of light to von Braun and Korolev's race to space, we gain a deeper understanding of the developments that changed the way we live forever.

Freddie Mercury: The King of Queen

Channel: HISTORY (DStv 186)
TX Time: 19h20
Genre: Documentary, Music

Freddie Mercury: The King of Queen

Queen's legendary lead singer Freddie Mercury earned a place in modern rock history as the writer and singer of some of its most legendary songs: Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, We Are the Champions, and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Born in Zanzibar to Indian parents and later raised in India, Mercury and his Queen bandmates went on to sell albums in unit totals that rival the Beatles.

His remarkable four octave singing range was a key ingredient in the band's success.

Mercury famously died of AIDS in late 1991, less than 24 hours after a public admission he had contracted the disease.

Vallei van Sluiers 2

Channel: eExtra (Openview 105 / DStv 195 / StarSat 489)
TX Time: 19h00
Genre: Drama, Afrikaans

Vallei van Sluiers 2

The first season finished on a suspenseful note with the nightmare scene at the pit, where Hugo and Beulah floated in the water.

Three shots were discharged from Hannah, JP and Bertito's firearms. All three had more than enough reason to get Hugo out of the way. Hugo was hit and lost consciousness due to his bleeding, as Con desperately sought help at the hospital.

But no one wanted to help...

The second season begins seven months after the shooting incident at the pit. Many questions are answered by flashbacks.

But when the season starts it is winter in the Ceres Valley, with snow that creates a fairytale landscape low on the slopes of the mountains.

In the meantime, many changes have taken place in the lives of the people of the Valley. Most importantly, Hannah's decision to re-establish veterinary practice. She advertises for a veterinarian and eventually gets a response from someone who arrives for an interview.

De Wet Enslin, however, is a strange man and not easy to measure.
