Getroud met Rugby: Die Sepie (Married to Rugby: The Soapie) is a South African soap opera based on the feature film and later drama series Getroud met Rugby by Deon Opperman, which is set amongst a rugby-playing community.

In the Season 5 premiere: The Stryders welcome their new coach, Jordan James. Meanwhile, Jana works on a plan to clear Mia's name and Ryno decides to start a clothing line.

In the second episode of the new season, The men have their first session with Jordan, Maryke experiences strange symptoms and Johan has shocking news for Blitz.

The series is based on an original concept by Deon Opperman and Hanli Rolfes and produced by Atomic Repairs and Overberg Produksies.

The producers are Soné Combrinck, Fezile Mpela and Deon Opperman and the executive producer is Soné Combrinck.

Original directors on the series include Bromley Cawood, David Clatworthy, Marisa Drummond, Luhann Jansen, Hannes Muller and René van Rooyen.
