Lara Lourens is a South African actress and dancer best known for her starring role as Koekie de Kok in the kykNET sitcom Huis Lelieveld.
She studied Film and Theatre Production at the Performing Arts Lifestyle Institute in Pretoria, from 2012-2014.
Lara made her television acting debut in a cameo role as a patient in an episode of the kykNET soapie Binnelanders, in early 2016.
Later that year she wrote and directed the short film Koue Voete (Cold Feet) starring Kaz McFadden, Shareen Swart, Deon Coetzee, Juanita de Villiers and Andre Velts.
In 2019 she landed her first starting role in television when she was cast as Koekie de Kok, Pastor Droel's assistant and a part time exotic dancer, in the kykNET sitcom Huis Lelieveld. The series debuted on 30 October, 2019.
The following year she had a guest starring role in the SABC2 telenovela Lithapo.
