Bio
Frank Rautenbach is a South African actor and author best known for his role as Tiaan Terreblanche in the SABC2 soapie 7de Laan.
Born and raised in East London, he made his screen acting debut on 7de Laan in the show's first season in 2000.
His film debut was a role in the 2006 feature Faith Like Potatoes, followed by the title role in the 2008 true story drama Hansie, about the life of disgraced cricketer Hansie Cronje.
Other films he has appeared in include The Bang Bang Club, The Film-Maker's Son and Mr Johnson.
His first book, The Vagabond, was released in South Africa in October 2018.
The following year he had a recurring role as Patterson, a businessman in cahoots with Ah Toy, in the Cinemax martial arts series Warrior.
In the same year he played the recurring role of JP Vermeulen on the kykNET soapie Suidooster, making his first appearance in Season 5, Episode 194 (which aired on 26 December, 2019).
Frank next had another recurring role, this time as Willem Meiring on the kykNET soapie Getroud Met Rugby: Die Sepie. His first appearance in the role was on 29 October, 2020 (Season 5, Episode 74).
In 2021 he had a starring role as Jason Hugo, a righteous, magnanimous supporter and benefactor to Sam and Adrian in their hour of need, in the M-Net drama series Lioness.
The 10-episode series debuted on 28 January, 2021.
