The South African Music Awards honours the country's finest music talent in key categories, as they battle for the South African industry's highest honour – a statuette at the South African Music Awards.
The SAMAs have witnessed the evolution of South African music, from the vibrant rhythms of kwaito to the global sounds of contemporary artists.
They have been a platform for emerging talent, a showcase for established stars, and a reflection of the nation's changing social and political landscape.
This year, The Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA) announced that the 32nd Annual South African Music Awards (SAMA32) would take place on 15 August, 2026.
The ceremony begins at 20h00, preceded by the Red Carpet at 19h30.
Kabza De Small leads the nominations this year with six, followed by Jazzworx with five and lordkez and Sam Deep tied for third with four noms each.
The ceremony is hosted by Cassper Nyovest and Zanele Potelwa. Anele Zondo hosts the Industry Awards, while Fresh By Caddy and Munaka Muthambi host the official red carpet coverage.

The Great Food Truck Race: Games on the Gulf culminates in an action-packed finale from the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Miami.
In the Season 17 premiere, "Let the Games Begin" Tyler welcomes nine food trucks to the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston where their epic nine-city road trip for $50,000 across America's Gulf Coast begins.
These first-time food truck teams face daunting challenges in the hopes of reaping unprecedented rewards, including award medals that have carryover value in the next city.
Tyler groups the teams into squads who must scrap for sales in an all-out selling frenzy, and the bottom two teams must face a shocker of an elimination.
