Themba: My Inked World 2

Channel: Mzansi Wethu (DStv 163)
TX Time: 18h00
Genre: Docu-Reality

Themba: My Inked World 2

We got to know Themba Broly through his time in the Big Brother Mzansi house - but now it's time to discover his world, and his life since the fame and the fandom.

That's the premise of this reality show in which the BBMzansi alum navigates life's pressures while rebuilding his life.

Before entering the Big Brother house, Themba had lost everything after his tattoo parlour burned down.

Now, with a new home partially paid for by his fans, a music EP on streaming services and in a relationship with BB Mzansi 3 winner Mphowabadimo, he's determined to soar to the greatest heights of his life.

For Themba, this season of the show is all about redemption.

He is looking to become a better and present parent, to finally fulfil his career goals, to make things right with family, and to reconnect with those he considers his real friends.

Many things have unfolded in Themba's life since the cameras turned off on Season 1.

While some of the events took place on camera, like Themba standing up Mpho and not pitching up at what was supposed to be their first cover shoot, to him constantly being late for all his meetings - the relationship was going nowhere fast.

This season, a lot has changed. Firstly, Themba has a lot of fixing to do, and he is the first to admit it.

First on the list is Big Brother Mzansi 3 winner and former girlfriend (and baby mama) Mpho Wabadimo.

He has a lot of apologising to do and making up for past transgressions that left Mpho heartbroken and being a single mother to their son.

Will this revive their relationship or that door is closed for good?

Moreover, this season will see him trying to revive his dream of going into business and also getting his music career to take off.

Hopefully, he has learnt some valuable lessons and is well on his way to making better choices when it comes to friends and possible business partners.

Channel: S3
TX Time: 21h00
Genre: Comedy-Drama, Police Procedural

Death in Paradise 4

Bringing a dose of sunshine back to the small screen, Death in Paradise returns for a fourth season of impossible murders on the beautiful Caribbean island of Saint Marie.

This season begins with the murder of a rum distillery owner during a séance – with all the clues pointing to the prime suspect being the ghost he helped summon.

But with Camille gone, the team is a man down, so Commissioner Selwyn steps in to track down a more earthy killer.

Other gruesome murders featured in this season include the seemingly accidental death of a rock singer, a popular surfing instructor and a cut-throat entrepreneur who's on a team-building holiday in the Caribbean.

Grand Designs New Zealand 8

Channel: The Home Channel (DStv 176)
TX Time: 13h00
Genre: Home Improvement, Reality, DIY

Grand Designs New Zealand 8

Now hosted by new presenter Tom Webster, Grand Designs New Zealand shares the stories of creative and enterprising Kiwis who are taking on the challenge of building their own unique and inspirational homes.

No design is too ambitious, and no obstacle too large in their quest for the perfect house.

Following the Grand Designs format, the series sees the process of these incredible design projects, as well as the personal journeys of those building them – from the initial blueprints, through to the long and often arduous task of turning the plans into practical living spaces.

Using archaic or new-school building techniques and material, and in locations from the beach, the mountains, and the hills in between, Grand Designs New Zealand features houses ranging from architectural designer mansions to DIY, never-before-seen kinds of homes.

In the Season 8 premiere, "Abel Tasman": Tasman-raised Mark Ahearn and his Australian restaurateur wife Liz are taking time out from their hectic lives in Perth to build a legacy family holiday home in Abel Tasman.

Melinda Hill: Inappropriate

Channel: SABC2

Melinda Hill: Inappropriate

Melinda Hill uses laughter as medicine in this part comedy special, part compassionate conversation about moving from trauma bonding to trauma mending.

Imparting insights and crushing confessions punctuated by punchlines in a soul-baring storytelling style, she reflects on inequality, sexuality and mental illness.

Poignant, culturally relevant and heal-arious.

Border to Border

Channel: eReality (Openview 108)
TX Time: 21h15
Genre: Documentary Series

Border to Border

Border to Border follows Vice News correspondent David Noriega as he visits borderlands around the world.

He delivers an immersive, first-hand look at life in border regions - from political issues, conflicts and crime to the vivid characters on both sides of the lines.
