After the Flood

After the Flood is a mystery thriller set in a town hit by a devastating flood.

When an unidentified man is found dead in a lift in an underground car park police assume he became trapped as the waters rose, and as the investigation unfolds PC Joanna Marshall, played by Sophie Rundle, becomes obsessed with discovering what happened to him.

How did he get in the lift and why does no one know who he is?

The mystery unfolds across the series while we also see the real impact of climate change on the lives of residents in this small town.

The floods threaten to expose secrets, and fortunes and reputations are at stake.

Jonas Armstrong (The Bay) takes on the role of Lee, a seemingly heroic local man; and Jacqueline Boatswain (Carnival Row) is local politician Sarah Mackie.

Rochelle Humes: Interior Designer in the Making

Rochelle Humes, entrepreneur, broadcaster and mum of three, takes her passion for all things interior into the homes of 10 families looking for inspiration, guidance and interior design expertise.

With an eye for detail, a short course in Interior Design and bags of enthusiasm, Rochelle will be challenged to create inspirational spaces for 10 families who are all out of ideas.

Rochelle visits each family to see the problem spaces for herself before getting to work on creating designs, changing layouts and choosing colour schemes for her new clients, supported by friend and mentor, interior designer Sally O'Connor.

Before presenting her vision, she invites the families to join her at a gorgeous location she hopes will inspire and excite them before sharing her design solutions.

She'll also be bringing along a mood box – a fully immersive design tool allowing them to see and feel the textures, colours and fabrics.

As the families will be using their own money, Rochelle will be working to a budget and weeks later, she will return to see if her designs have been a success and the families have followed her guidance.

New York Homicide 2

Channel: CBS Justice (DStv 170)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: True Crime, Documentary Series

New York Homicide 2

New York is a shining beacon of opportunity to people across the world, and the convergence of almost innumerable cultures, customs and languages, makes it a true melting pot.

It's a city with a gritty core, where tensions run high.

This series details the brazen crimes that could only happen in New York and the intense work by law enforcement and civilians who race to take murderers off the streets.

With exclusive access to former and current detectives including Robert K. Boyce (NYPD Retired Chief of Detectives), investigators guide viewers through the twists and turns of their most complex cases in each self-contained episode.

The intriguing stories focus on the victims' loved ones as they recount the indelible impact of losing someone close to them, and the investigation that followed.

This season delves into 20 New York City cases ranging from the seemingly accidental death of a successful banker, the murder of a well-connected realtor with ties to Hollywood and the shooting of a retired law enforcement officer in Brooklyn, among others.

Cases include:

The Almost Perfect Crime

Millionaire banker and mother-of-two Shele Covlin had it all, until she fatally slipped and fell in her Upper West Side bathtub.

But days after her burial, information emerges, and the NYPD realises this may be no accident.

The Fifth Avenue Penthouse Slaying

Linda Stein was a realtor to the stars, selling luxury New York apartments to Steven Spielberg, Bruce Willis and Bette Midler, among others.

When Linda is found bludgeoned to death in her apartment, the murder immediately becomes front-page news.

Her larger-than-life personality meant Linda made enemies as well as admirers.

With limited evidence from the crime scene, only painstaking sleuthing can identify her killer.

The Brooklyn Murder Rampage

When a retired cop is found shot to death on a subway train in Brooklyn, detectives soon discover that his death is linked to two other shootings in the previous 13 hours.

With the victims seemingly chosen at random, police worry that any New Yorker could become the next target.

The pressure is on to track down the suspects before they strike again.

Channel: BBC UKTV (DStv 134)

Genre: Food, Reality Competition, Reality

Come Dine With Me South Africa 2

A tale of fairies, failed French cuisine and flirtation, this season of Come Dine With Me South Africa begins with a bang.

The second season of the primetime cookery show again sees four amateur chefs attempt to wow and outwit each other with their culinary and hospitality skills, in a bid to win a R5,000 cash prize as well as R5,000 worth of Pick 'n Pay vouchers.

Get ready to meet teacher Anne-Marie Pavkovitch, Greek tycoon Manny Hatziandreou, financial manager and fairy aficionado Jo-Anne Van Niekerk and event manager Simphiwe Mtetwa.

This first episode kicks off in cluttered collector Anne-Marie Pavkovitch's home, where you'll be lucky to find space to put a static miniature cat in, let alone swing it.

Manny finds the attentions of Jo-Anne and host Anne-Marie a little too hot to handle at times, while superior-in-all-ways Simphiwe puts aside his glamorous life for one week to indulge the mere mortals around him.

Day 2 is the turn of Greek stock broker and show lothario Manny, who tiptoes around his mama in the kitchen as he prepares his Greek themed menu.

While singleton Jo-Anne might have a penchant for fairies, her flirting with Manny is anything but delicate, complimenting Manny on his "orgasmic" starter.

While Anne-Marie is left to dream of what might have been had her competition not gunned so obviously for what could have been her toy boy.

Fairy aficionado Jo-Anne is the host of day three, but with Simphiwe's scathing and mostly wayward comments on everything from food to German cars dominating more and more as the nights progress, Jo-Anne has her work cut out to have the focus fall on her own rather delicately envisioned and prepared evening.

Her self-confessed obsession with fairies lands like a lead balloon before her horrified guests, while Jo-Anne's flirtation with Manny also threatens to burn out of control when her blowtorch for her Crème Brulee almost lights more than just a romance.

It's the final night and having boasted all week of how much lower other mortals are, Simphiwe hosts his Marie Antoinette themed evening with a verbose French menu including Terrine de Foies de Volaille.

But when the peasants storm the palace gates, they find no palace, no gate, and no royalty.

Snapped 19

Each episode of this true-crime reality series examines a different felon, usually a female, who has committed murder or attempted murder.

The victim is usually the perpetrator's partner.

The documentary-style series features interviews with friends and family members of the accused and victims, law-enforcement officials, attorneys and other people with first-hand knowledge of the cases.

In the Season 19 premiere, "Tanasha Siena": A 17-year relationship ends in gunfire, leaving two children fatherless as cops ask: was it self-defence or was it an act of jealousy?
