Our Father

After a woman's at-home DNA test reveals multiple half-siblings, she discovers a shocking scheme involving donor sperm and a popular fertility doctor.

Jacoba Ballard was an only child, conceived via donor sperm, who always dreamed of having a brother or sister.

An at-home DNA test led her to the discovery of not one but seven half-siblings – a number that defied best practices in fertility medicine.

As the group set out to learn more about their curious family tree, they soon discovered the sickening truth: their parents' fertility doctor had been inseminating his patients with his own sperm – without their knowledge or consent.

As Ballard and her newfound siblings realised they've barely begun to untangle his dark web of deceit, their pursuit of justice lies at the heart of this profoundly unsettling story about an unimaginable breach of trust.

Myne vir Joune 3

In each episode of this reality show, two family members from two vastly different families leave their comfort zones and swap places to spend four days with the other family.

In the new season of this social experiment, different families once again swap places, to find out and experience how other people think and act.

What will the families learn from each other, and what life lessons will they take back to their own homes?

This season goes further than ever before.

You can look forward to anti-vaxxers who swap homes with those who are pro-vaccines, vegans who trade lives with hunters, witches who invite Christians in, rich who exchange with poor, city slickers who must eat their own bunnies for dinner on a sustainable farm, and more.

Thirteen episodes of mind shifts await you...

Channel: Discovery Family (DStv 136 / StarSat 222)
TX Time: 18h40
Genre: Docu-Drama, History

Throughout the 19th century, the territory west of the Mississippi was a rough place, crawling with outcasts, murderers, thieves and bounty hunters.

Across this lawless landscape, a few brave men protected the innocent from an endless stream of gun-wielding outlaws.

In this six-part historical docudrama, get immersed in the true stories behind infamous icons and legendary conflicts of the Wild West.

Gunslingers exposes the real, often little-known adventures of the Wild West's iconic characters, and how their fearless pursuit of freedom and profit still resonate in America today.

From unlawful lawman Wyatt Earp, teenage vagabond Billy the Kid, scorned rebel Jesse James, Yankee sharpshooter Wild Bill Hickok, dangerous psychopath John Wesley Hardin and war veteran-turned-assassin Tom Horn, Gunslingers tips its cowboy hat to those who became icons in a wild, wild world.

Juxtaposed with reenactments, expert commentary is layered throughout each episode to ensure the authenticity and historical accuracy of each story.

Contributors include: David Milch, the creator of Deadwood; Bob Boze Bell, the executive editor of True West Magazine; and actor Kurt Russell, who portrayed his favourite western icon, Wyatt Earp, in the classic film Tombstone.

The Wild West kicks the dust off its heels with these stories of courage, survival and good versus evil.

Many of the names of lore sound familiar, but much of what we accept as fact is based more on legend than truth.

Each episode of Gunslingers offers a thrilling, heart-pounding ride alongside an infamous lawman or outlaw as he navigates his way through a series of pivotal showdowns in a volatile place and time, when death could be lurking around any corner.

In the series premiere, "Jesse James: The South's Last Rebel": After the Civil War, the West was rapidly expanding - telegraphs, railroads, newspapers, factories.

Life is moving too fast for lawmen to catch up, creating gaps between security and savagery.

Jesse James quickly exploits these gaps, boldly robbing unprotected banks and trains across the Midwest.

By the time his reign of terror is complete, he has killed an estimated 17 people in the course of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Still, the people love him for it.

He is seen by many as a modern day Robin Hood - a Southern gentleman avenging the efforts of Northern businessmen.

His gang is young, hungry, angry and in the wake of their own brutal war experience, which has left them with some serious scores to settle.

Chopped Next Gen

Actress, producer and creator Liza Koshy challenges a new guard of rising, Generation Z chefs over five episodes in the ultimate culinary arena.

Watch as these young competitors bring the flair and flavor to the Chopped kitchen through three rounds to solve the algorithm of mandatory, mystery basket ingredients.

Each basket requires the right mix of innovation and ambition, with the winner of each episode earning insta-fame and $10,000.

Twenty young, hip and hungry chefs bring their cutting-edge culinary skills and fierce determination to Chopped Next Gen.

With youth comes unflappable confidence, as four chefs compete in each hour-long episode through three rounds to bring a youthful spin on dishes never seen or tasted before.

A recurring panel of some of the culinary world's up-and-coming stars - Nyesha Arrington, Darnell Ferguson, Mei Lin, Esdras Ochoa and Kwame Onwuachi - judge each competitor's dish based on taste, presentation and how creative their vision is.

Only one chef walks away each episode with the cash prize and bragging rights in adding Chopped Next Gen champion to their growing resume.

The chefs have their work cut out for them in an episode with scorpion powder and scungilli in the appetizer basket.

Host Liza Koshy keeps the entrée round meat free with a plant-based charcuterie board and red snapper.

And see if the remaining two chefs are delighted to get uni in the dessert round.

Other episodes include cured tuna hearts and mushrooms that inspire two chefs to put a novel spin on Italian cuisine; and the chefs prove their worth by integrating baby bananas and duck confit into a delicious and inventive dessert.

Doodgewone Jo 5

The bearded butcher with the kind heart and the golden voice, Jo Black, needs no introduction to the South African public.

In this talk show, Jo meets up with famous friends to discuss interesting topics and activities ranging from sports to hunting, cross-fit, quad-biking, classic cars and technology while reflecting his personal values to try and redefine what it means to be a man in a modern context.

After four seasons, Jo is still the first to raise his hand for daring adventures with famous guests (exactly what cost him his collarbone in Season 4).

He still snaps back when his guest comes up with a witty comment, and still sings along loudly, even when the microphone is not on him.

In the Season 5 premiere: Jo talks to J'Something, the lead singer of the SAMA award-winning group Mi Casa.
