Walker

Channel: M-Net (DStv 101)
TX Time: 19h30
Genre: Drama, Action, Western

Walker

Walker, a reimagining of Walker, Texas Ranger, stars Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) as Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there's harder work to be done at home.

He'll attempt to reconnect with his creative and thoughtful son and his headstrong, somewhat rebellious teenaged daughter and navigate clashes with his family.

These include an ADA brother who stepped in during Walker's absence, his perceptive mother and his traditional rancher father.

Walker's former colleague is now his Ranger Captain, (Coby Bell, The Game).

Walker finds unexpected common ground with his new partner (one of the first women in Texas Rangers' history) played by Lindsey Morgan (The 100), while growing increasingly suspicious about the circumstances surrounding his wife's death.

How Life Began

Channel: HISTORY (DStv 186)
TX Time: 20h15
Genre: Documentary, Wildlife, Nature, History, Factual

How Life Began

Billions of years before man first walked the Earth, billions of years before even the dinosaurs existed, Earth was teeming with life.

Single-celled organisms made a roiling soup of our oceans, and living creatures were crawling in our very soil.

Where did it come from? What IS life, exactly? Is it chemical, spiritual, or a combination of both? Do distant planets teem with life just as Earth does?

And how do you go from a single-celled organism to a trillion-celled organism like Man?

In this special, we will explore the earliest history of our planet... how it evolved to support a rich and vibrant menagerie of creeping, crawling, walking creatures.

Was life triggered by some event (like lightning hitting a pond full of amino acids) or did it float from some distant galaxy on the back of a meteor?

What if life "lives" in space as tiny particles like viruses and bacteria looking for places to inhabit? (Or infect?) Can we create life in a laboratory?

Combining high-end animation and expert interviews, the special illustrates the history of the origin of life on Earth... and beyond.

We'll visit the young Earth, with massive comets colliding into the planet.

We'll see single-celled organisms as they divide, mutate and evolve into other, more complex creatures.

And we'll let imaginations and visions of today's leading scientists run wild as we create new life on new worlds, all using CG effects.

Animation will be supplemented with expert interviews from leading archeologists, historians, geologists and physicists, and expeditions to exotic locations where cutting edge science is teasing out answers about life's origins.

The Resident 4

Channel: FOX (DStv 125)
TX Time: 20h45
Genre: Drama, Medical Drama

The Resident 4

Season 4 continues to shine a light on the daily heroism of today's health care workers.

The medical drama follows the doctors and nurses at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges and fight for their patients' health.

The new season picks up as Dr. Conrad Hawkins and nurse practioner Nicolette Nevin tie the knot in an intimate and beautiful wedding, strengthening their already powerful bond.

Meanwhile, Chastain is transitioning from private to public hospital, causing the hero doctors to fight to fix the broken machine from the inside.

Dr. Randolph Bell finds himself mining his own past to find his estranged former stepson, elite plastic surgeon Dr. Jake Wong.

Bell attempts to bring Dr. Wong to Chastain to increase the number of world-class surgeries at the hospital and to repair their complicated past.

Additionally, as star surgical resident Dr. Mina Okafor and her brilliant mentor, Dr. AJ Austin, grow closer than ever, they must learn to maintain a professional relationship within the walls of the hospital.

In the Season 4 premiere, "A Wedding, A Funeral": After a long wait, Conrad and Nic prepare for their wedding day with the support of their family and friends.

Meanwhile, flashbacks to the early days of the COVID-19 crisis shine a light on the heroism of the doctors and the toll the virus took on everyone at Chastain Memorial.
