Thembisa Mdoda is a South African former radio DJ, actress, singer, writer and presenter best known for being the host of the sixth season of the Mzansi Magic reality series Our Perfect Wedding.
She was also the host of Highveld After Dark, airing on weekdays from 01h00-04h00 on 94.7 Highveld Stereo. Prior to that she was a newsreader for Wits radio.
Thembi had a guest starring role on the e.tv romance anthology series Mzansi Love in 2013, in the episode entitled "Colour Blind" (Season 2, Episode 5).
In 2015 she landed her first major recurring role in television in the Mzansi Magic telenovela The Road, playing the role of Thabisile Cebekhulu, the make-up artist and resident gossip at Bambhata Productions.
Thembisa is the sister of radio DJ and television presenter Anele Mdoda. She married actor Atandwa Kani on 11 August, 2012. The couple separated in 2015.
She is multilingual, speaking English, Xhosa, Setswana, Zulu and Afrikaans.
