It's over for Isitha: The Enemy on 23 April 2027 after a solid four year run. Five if you include its predecessor The Black Door.
e.tv's announced they're slamming it shut next year, with no explanation as to why but it must be the usual - needs more ratings, something phresh is required. They're calling it the channel's last "legacy" show. #RIPScandal/Kelders/HoZ
A quote from their statement about it:
It is the only legacy drama from the previous generation still on the channel, so its conclusion is a significant moment as e.tv moves into new storytelling.
Isi gonna end like this...
1. According to Black Brain Pictures executive producer Mandla N.
Mandla: "As we approach the final chapter, we want to leave viewers with the same spirit that has defined the show from the beginning - bold storytelling, unexpected twists and characters who refuse to be forgotten.
"There are still a lot of stories left to tell before we say goodbye, and audiences can expect the final stretch to be every bit as dramatic, emotional and unpredictable as the journey that brought us here.”
2. KB Motsilanyane returns to her Rhythm City/e.tv roots. She's joining as Dineo Mtshali who's going to bring drama into Mapholoba's world.
Dineo's a successful fashion designer from Soweto who's spent years building a life far away from the chaos of her past.
She commands respect without demanding it, speaks her mind without apology and refuses to be intimidated by anyone.
3. The plot's going to explore the heart of the Bulldozed storyline, where the destruction of shacks threatens to destabilise lives and communities, setting off a chain of events filled with conflict, heartbreak and consequences.
4. Our concern: how will Rebs unleash her relentless rage once the show's over?!
