The Catch

Channel: BritBox
TX Time: 00h01
Genre: Drama, Thriller

The Catch

The Catch is a psychological thriller following Ed Collier, a proud husband, father and local fisherman determined to do whatever it takes to keep his family together.

When rich, handsome younger man Ryan enters daughter Abbie's life and threatens to take her away from him, Ed finds his life spiraling out of control and determines to discover the truth about Ryan before it's too late.

But when a dark secret from Ed's past returns to haunt him, he risks losing everything he's worked so hard to achieve.

As his determination to solve the mystery veers dangerously into obsession, the stage is set for a chilling climax leaving both Ed and Ryan's lives hanging in the balance.

Set against the hauntingly beautiful coastline of the south-west of England, this suspense-driven drama revolves around the themes of toxic masculinity and grief.

The morally complex story raises the pertinent questions: should we be judged by the actions of our distant past and at what point do we have to stop blaming other people for the life we've led?

Inside Sydney Airport

Channel: National Geographic Channel (DStv 181 / StarSat 220)
TX Time: 19h00
Genre: Docu-Reality

Inside Sydney Airport

Inside Sydney Airport takes you behind the scenes at one of the busiest airports in the southern hemisphere.

Positioned on Botany Bay, the gateway to the Pacific Ocean, up to 180,000 people enter the airport precinct every day.

Volatile weather patterns, security breaches, technical issues and the human element place pressure on keeping the 900 flights safely on schedule.

In the series premiere, "Hazards": Lightning has struck an incoming international flight.

Engineers assess the damage, as passengers become increasingly impatient.

High winds lead to runway closures, adding pressure to flight schedules.

Another plane arrives with potentially dangerous liquid leaking from its cargo.

Three ground crew who came in contact are quarantined until fire services can identify the liquid.

The Mick

Channel: S3
TX Time: 19h30
Genre: Comedy

The Mick

The Mick follows Mackenzie, aka "Mickey" (Kaitlin Olson), a brash, two-bit hustler from Rhode Island who must assume guardianship of her sister's three high-maintenance children.

Mickey, who is intelligent but lacking ambition, is always hustling and looking for the next easy payday.

It seems like her ship has finally come in when she goes to Greenwich, Connecticut, to visit her estranged sister and billionaire brother-in-law in search of a handout, and they flee the country to avoid federal fraud charges, leaving her with everything.

But nothing in life is free, and "everything" includes guardianship of her sister's three ill-mannered children - 18-year-old Sabrina, 13-year-old future Republican Chip and fragile seven-year-old nerd Ben.

Though motherhood was never in her plans, Mickey discovers a little responsibility isn't the buzzkill she always thought it would be.

In the series premiere, "Pilot": An unapologetic degenerate moves to affluent Greenwich, Connecticut, to raise the outrageously spoiled kids of her wealthy sister and brother-in-law, who have fled the country to avoid prosecution for illegal activities.

Queens of Ancient Egypt

Channel: Curiosity Channel (DStv 185)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Documentary Series, Docu-Drama, History

Queens of Ancient Egypt

From ancient times to the present day the world has seen many powerful and inspirational females, some of whom became the rulers of nations.

Egypt was home to the best known of all ancient queens, the famous Cleopatra, who has been the subject of countless films and documentaries.

But Egypt also had many other great female monarchs, many of whose names and stories are all but forgotten.

Drawing on fascinating new discoveries and cutting-edge research, this series will tell the stories of three little-known but incredible Egyptian queens, revealing how they became standard bearers for their sex long before the modern era.

Queen Tiye

Over 3,000 years ago, the Egyptian queen Tiye became a goddess on Earth.

She also inspired a religious revolution that threw Egypt into turmoil.

Tiye may have blazed a trail for the world's leading religions – and the belief that there is only one true god.

The Other Cleopatra

Cleopatra II, namesake of the great Cleopatra VII, had an even more shocking reign.

Hers is a dramatic tale of incest, murder, rape and mutilation.

Cleopatra II wielded great power and would do anything to keep it. She saw her dynasty torn apart by hatred - but she also saved it from destruction.

Cleopatra's Daughter

Cleopatra Selene, daughter of Cleopatra the Great and Mark Antony, saw her dynasty collapse amid her parents' defeat and suicide.

Taken to Rome as a prisoner, all looked lost for Selene.

But she rose from the embers to marry the African king Juba II and become one of the continent's greatest queens.

Girls5eva 3

Channel: Netflix South Africa
TX Time: 10h00 (all episodes)
Genre: Musical, Comedy

Girls5eva 3

Girls5eva follows a one-hit-wonder girl group from the late '90s whose members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot.

They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, aging parents and debt, but can't they also be Girls5eva?

This season: The members of Girls5eva – Dawn, Wickie, Summer, and Gloria – have reunited and recorded a new album, Returnity, so it's time for the next logical step: a comeback tour.

With no plan, tour manager, or venues secured, the ladies pile into a van and hit the great unknown, doing their damnedest to promote their album and get back on top.

In the process, Girls5eva will grapple with life on the road, see their relationships tested, play a billionaire's birthday party, sow their oats, confront parents they believe held them back, cross paths with the biggest pop star on the planet, and question if they really want "the big time" again.

Will Girls5eva fast-track their comeback and sell their tour documentary in the process? Or will the road destroy them?
