China's Wild Empire

The epic adventures of China's golden snub-nosed monkeys, Tibetan antelope and Asian elephants, told across the seasons in a diversity of habitats.

Dense and mysterious forests, vertical mountains, sweeping deserts and thriving wetlands...

While Central Asia is densely populated, it's also one of the most vast - and last - unexplored wilderness regions on Earth.

Its distinctly sublime landscapes boast the highest biodiversity of anywhere outside the tropics.

This insider, exclusive access - along with a global perspective - propels you into Asia's magnificent bounty of rare, charismatic wildlife through intimately told stories about unique animals.

Following the approach of The Frozen Kingdom of the Snow Leopard we embark with three more iconic animals as their true dramas unfold before our eyes.

And, for the first time, an international crew is on the ground to capture behavior in previously unseen locations in China.

Golden Monkeys: Braving the Impossible

Two golden snub-nosed monkey families battle for food, mates and social status in China's mountain forests, where the females ultimately hold sway.

Tibetan Antelope: Mysterious Migration

China's female Tibetan antelope undertake an annual odyssey to their calving grounds on the Tibetan plateau, but it's a journey fraught with danger.

Yunnan's Intrepid Elephants

With China's Asian elephant population growing, and natural resources harder to find, they need to be increasingly brave and intrepid to survive.

Get Me to 21: The Jenna Lowe Story

When Cape Town teenager Jenna Lowe was diagnosed with life-threatening Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), she didn't simply become a patient, she became a lead activist bringing attention to the disease.

In 2014, two years ahead of her 21st birthday, Jenna launched her #GetMeTo21 social media campaign to raise awareness for this rare, life-threatening disease and to drive organ donation in South Africa.

Articulate, brave and beautiful, she touched people across the world, and the campaign achieved international acclaim.

This documentary features footage and interviews with many of Jenna's friends, doctors and family, including Jenna's mother Gabi who chronicled her daughter's heroic odyssey with this poorly understood medical condition in her best-selling memoir Get Me to 21.

Get Me to 21 pays tribute to Jenna's indomitable spirit, sharing insights on how the Lowe family found strength and resilience as they faced every parent's worst nightmare; firstly the medical practitioners that couldn't diagnose Jenna's condition and then had few, if any, treatments to offer.

The Lowes didn't accept that helplessness.

Yet PH is a degenerative condition and ordinary challenges of youth such as writing matric became especially poignant as her family watched Jenna sitting in a wheelchair with oxygen support determinedly writing her final exams – she achieved straight As.

Jenna's family started a not-for-profit organisation, the Jenna Lowe Trust, in her memory.

It helped to establish The Jenna Lowe PH Clinic at Groote Schuur, which currently supports around 600 PH patients because earlier diagnosis means a better quality of life.

In the Footsteps of Killers 2

Silent Witness star Emilia Fox and Britain's top criminologist Professor David Wilson attempt to solve Britain's most heinous murders in this true crime series.

Investigated like a documentary and filmed like a drama, In the Footsteps of Killers is a television hybrid in which an unsolved murder is solved in each episode.

Through research for her role in the BBC series, Emilia has become an expert in unsolved murder.

David specialises in studying serial killers, their modus operandi and psychology and has assisted many police forces across the globe.

In each episode, the pair investigate an unsolved British murder.

They travel to and base themselves in the vicinity of the crime, reinvestigate the evidence for themselves, meeting police, victim's relations, witnesses, journalists and experts.

Crucially, they will walk the murder scene in the footsteps of the killer.

Seeing the scene from the murderer and victim's perspective, no matter how long after the crime, is critically important.

The series follows the two detectives' ups and downs, their setbacks and their breakthroughs before they are able to reveal the name of the killer as a result of their thorough re-investigations.

In the Footsteps of Killers takes audiences inside a crime like never before.

In the Season 2 premiere, "The Murder of Vishal Mehrotra": On 29 July 1981, eight-year-old Vishal Mehrotra had been in central London watching the Royal Wedding Parade with his family.
