One of the world's most iconic toys will become reality when HGTV taps into the zeitgeist of Barbie in its new competition series, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge.
Inspired by the popularity of the toy herself and by the upcoming release of the Warner Bros. Pictures film, Barbie, HGTV will harness the power of its corporate siblings to support four nostalgia-filled episodes.
Punctuated by celebrity guests, pop culture history and a plethora of Barbie surprises, Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge will be hosted by supermodel, designer, author and entrepreneur Ashley Graham and feature eight teams of HGTV superstars as they transform a Southern California home into a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse.
In the end, one passionate Barbie fan will get the chance to win a stay in the home.
During the series, 15 HGTV home design and renovation experts and one Food Network chef will participate in the creation of Barbie's Dreamhouse, including:

Teams will overhaul areas of the home with an era-specific style, such as an early 1960s atomic age kitchen, a '70s disco vibe for Ken's Den and a main bedroom decked out in '80s glam.
In the series premiere: Ashley and the competitors will take a trip to Mattel headquarters and get a Barbie surprise.
Kicking off the competition, real estate and design power couple Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson will face-off against expert builder Jasmine Roth and Food Network's Antonia Lofaso for a first-floor showdown.
Egypt and Mike will take inspiration from the neon 1990s Barbie style to reimagine the entryway, living room and dining room into an over-the-top pink paradise.
Jasmine and Antonia will create an awe-inspiring kitchen and family room from the 1960s, with space-age touches featuring appliances that appear with the touch of a button and sleek mid-century accents.
Kitty Black Perkins, who's credited with designing the first Black Barbie, will make a surprise appearance.
The lineup of HGTV home design and renovation experts who will compete throughout the season continues in week two.
Celebrity guest judge Nischelle Turner (Entertainment Tonight) will review the work of Ty Pennington and Alison Victoria, who create a groovy Disco-themed 1970s den for Ken; while Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin tap into 1980s glam to bring the primary suite to life.
In week three, Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas will give the front yard and home exterior a toy-riffic 1990s spin and Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt will build an outrageous Y2K era backyard wonderland judged by celebrity guest Marsai Martin (Black-ish).
The finale will feature an homage to Barbie's quintessential style with a futuristic closet and dressing room by Christina Hall and James Bender.
Michel Smith Boyd and Anthony Elle Williams will design a chic office worthy of Barbie's storied resume.
The spaces will be judged by celebrity guest and fashion designer Christian Siriano.
The Cleaning Lady 2

Galvanized by the many roadblocks she faced while searching for a treatment to save her son, Thony will utilise her expertise as a doctor to find ways to help her underserved community.
However, as Thony continues to entwine her business undertakings with Arman, she is dragged further across the moral line and into the dark underbelly of Las Vegas.

After retiring from his position as Cold Case Investigator/Chief of Forensics for the Contra Costa District Attorney's Office in California, he continued to work on the case until he helped capture the alleged killer, Joseph James DeAngelo.
Working with a team of investigators, Holes' use of cutting-edge DNA technology proved crucial to closing in on DeAngelo.
Holes was launched into the national spotlight and became an overnight hero in the crime and justice community.
The series follows Holes as he dives into unsolved homicides by analyzing the physical and emotional "DNA" left behind during the violent interaction.
With unprecedented access to crime scene photographs, case files and evidence, Holes investigates each crime utilising his unique forensic and behavioural skillset.
Hoping to zero in on the profile of the perpetrator, he lends his expertise in the latest technological advancements from familial and genetic genealogy to latent fingerprint and DNA phenotyping, the process of predicting physical appearance from DNA.

In the series premiere, "Hotel Homicide": This episode delves into a 1980 murder in Williamsburg, Iowa where two hotel guests were founded bludgeoned to death in their room at a Holiday Inn.
Each subsequent episode will focus on a new brutal murder where many questions have been left unanswered.
Additional cases include a young woman found stabbed to death along railroad tracks in Kansas City; a murder of a socialite in Georgia whose case involves a mysterious letter allegedly sent from the killer; a man who was found dead in his home after answering an online post for a renter; a homicide of a nun found 100 yards from the convent; and a grandmother stabbed to death in her home in broad daylight.
