Awards ceremony created by Winnie Ntshaba which recognises achievement in South African soapie productions by honouring, celebrating and promoting creativity, quality and excellence from all major players.
These include actors, make-up artists, writers, producers, directors and costume designers.
The 2023 Royalty Soapie Awards were held at The Galleria in Sandton on Saturday 11 March and delivered honours in 23 categories, with four special awards.
1Magic's The River leads the nominations this year with a total of 33, followed by S3's The Estate with 24, and e.tv's The Black Door with 17.
The ceremony is hosted this year by comedian Mpho Popps.

In this second season of Dutch Caribbean Coastguards we take a natural look inside the KWCARIB on the islands of Curacao, Aruba and St Maarteens, and their daily activities, whether or not dangerous.
We follow several people within the coast guard for a few months and sympathize with their actions, but we also see that it is more than brutal actions on open water.
In the Season 2 premiere, "Oil Tanker Castaways": The Coastguard attempts to rescue 14 castaways from a sunken oil tanker, while in Curacao the team are engaged in a thrilling pursuit of a drug boat.

In the series, Mike has the challenging job of finding vehicles that have money-making potential. He then hands them over to Ant, who tackles everything from bare metal re-sprays to gearbox swaps to bring them back to their former glory.
From the sunny beaches of southern California to the coldest edges of Maine, the series scours the US from coast-to-coast for the best vehicles to buy, restore, test and sell for a tidy profit.
What treasures will the guys find and flip on their epic adventures?
In the Season 18 premiere, "Triumph Dolomite Sprint": It's the 50th anniversary of one of British motoring's forgotten heroes, the Triumph Dolomite Sprint.
So, of course, Mike and Elvis have to get one.
