Afro Café 15

Afro Café is back and for the first time since its inception the show has no presenter, but is rather narration driven by the artists.

In the first episode of the new season the studio guest is Amanda Black.

The new season will kick start with 13 episodes and has moved from an hour to a half hour offering.

The show will now feature one studio artist per episode, giving the artist an opportunity to own and take over their special episode.

Also in the mix is the introduction of two new inserts in celebration of the 15th season, like The Fan, in which aspiring musicians send in video clips performing their favorite artists' track. This is shown to the artists to record their response.

The Loyalty Rewards segment is where viewers nominate someone to receive a special performance from their favourite artist, who records a message to the nominee.

The set has been refurbished and given a more intimate feel.

The Real War of Thrones

Recounts the epic story of the rival dynasties that forged the history of medieval and early modern Europe.

Shot on location across Europe, the series documents the turbulent conflicts between the French Royal Houses of Valois and Burgundy, and their Plantagenet rivals in England, which erupted with such ferocity in the titanic struggle of The Hundred Years War.

Each episode focuses on a moment in European history and a clash between European houses.

Part 1: War Is Declared (1328-1364)

In the turbulent formative centuries of early Europe, power-hungry family dynasties fought for domination of the continent.

The conflicting ambitions of the Plantagenet king of England, Edward III, and the Valois king of France, Philip VI, brought intrigue, war, kidnapping and mayhem to France.

Part 2:  The Mad King And The Maiden (1392-1453)

In 15th Century France confusion reigns with a king who goes mad, dauphines who die as teenagers, a queen who switches allegiances between rival dukes and multiple assassinations.

And then, of course, there was the English king, Henry V, who also claimed the throne of France...

Part 3: The Marriage Game (1461-1483)

Louis XI of France faced a formidable range of enemies when he ascended the throne. English kings and Burgundian dukes had eyes for the monarchy of France.

This is the story of how Louis battled, schemed, bribed and even arranged marriages, all in a quest to keep his kingdom.
