Channel: M-Net (DStv 101)
TX Time: 22h00
Genre: Mystery, Sci-Fi, Horror, Supernatural, Thriller

The series weaves an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.

Castle Rock stars André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Billy Skarsgård, Jane Levy and Scott Glenn.

Killer in Plain Sight

Channel: Crime + Investigation (DStv 170)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: True Crime

Features disturbing cases of murder where the detectives look at all those involved as a suspect and must filter the lies from the truth in order to crack the case.

It's only when the perpetrator is caught that they realise the killer was there all along, right before their eyes.

The loved one making an emotional appeal, the neighbour who helped in the search, the family friend who gave an interview - and all that time they had blood on their hands.

Everybody Loves Raymond

Channel: FOX (DStv 125 / StarSat 131)
TX Time: 17h25
Genre: Comedy

Starring standup comedian Ray Romano in the title role, Everybody Loves Raymond revolves around Ray Barone, a successful sportswriter living on Long Island with his wife Debra, 13-year-old daughter, Ally, and 9-year-old twin sons, Geoffrey and Michael.

That's the good news.

The bad news? Ray's meddling parents, Frank and Marie, live directly across the street and embrace the motto "Su casa es mi casa," managing to infiltrate their son's home to an unparalleled extent.

I highly recommend Castle Rock - it's brilliant.

It combines various elements from Stephen King's work and threads them into an engrossing story so it includes characters and concepts from his books but in a new story.

The most notable are Shawshank Prison - from Shawshank Redemption - and the character of Alan Pangborn (played by Scott Glenn). He's the sheriff of Castle Rock in a couple of books..

My best is that it's very symbolic too, dealing with inner conflict... fighting your demons, knowing them.

It's been renewed for a second season which will be a different self-contained story. It's an anthology series so each season tells a different story.
