Channel: SABC1
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Miniseries, Drama

Set in the historically significant mining town of Barberton, Mpumalanga, Emjindini follows Amos Shabangu (Freedom Mswane) as he works daily, chipping away at the walls of a 100-year-old mine, contributing to an economy that has constantly excluded him and his family.

By happenstance, Amos finds a bag of long-buried gold coins following an earth tremor brought on by his own negligence.

While the bag seems like the solutions to all his woes, Amos has to think on his feet when a naïve and overzealous colleague, an evil superior and a looming protest threaten his victory.

Sassy, sexy and super-famous, follow the adventures of Daniela Braga, Olivia Culpo, Hannah Ferguson, Ping Hue, Nadine Leopold, Caroline Lowe, Ashley Moore, Shanina Shaik and Devon Windsor as they prepare for the fall fashion season, when 'work hard, play hard' becomes more than a motto - it becomes a way of life.

Secrets of the Dinosaur Crater

Channel: BBC Earth (DStv 184)
TX Time: 17h00
Genre: Documentary, Science, Nature

Sixty-six million years ago, an asteroid the size of London smashed into Earth. This was the day the dinosaurs died. How did a single impact wipe out three-quarters of all animal species? And how did the rest manage to survive?

Secrets of the Dinosaur Crater joins eminent experts on a series of cutting-edge studies, each of which makes new discoveries about this cataclysmic event.

But this is not just a story of destruction. It's the story of the planet's great survivors. And a story that leads ultimately to us.

Midsomer Murders 20

Channel: Universal Channel (DStv 117)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Drama, Police Procedural, Mystery

Celebrating its 20th anniversary season, the long-running mystery series proves once again that country lanes can be every bit as perilous as city streets.

This time round, the detective duo investigate when someone is found boiled to death in a vat at a brewery that was once an abbey.

When a butterfly collector is found dead, having been forced to suffer the same fate as his numerous specimens, Barnaby and Winter search for the perpetrator, before the duo must separate fact from fiction after a former supermodel is murdered at a village comic convention.
