Is this not a reaction to DSTV losing over 115000 Premium subscribers in DSTV's financial year over to Netflix when it cried wolf because of the said “unregulated competition” from Netflix? Is this a ploy to attract Premium subscribers? I remember when Dstv said is working on several strategies to conquer Netflix, is this what they meant? Is this DSTV strategy to attract more Premium subscribers?

DSTV Premium must provide better content. They have gone backward by copying SABC 3 on airing a host of stupid comedy shows during prime-time, lots of unscripted low budget local tv shows. This renders their viewing completely useless until 9 or 10PM the entire week up to Sunday. They have cancelled direct from the US that enabled their quality and availability of shows to appear as some sort of competition to Netflix. Dstv they backtracked and started the current trend of poor comedies that they believe are quality. They should improve their content and the timing of their prime series and movies. Then Netflix will stop being a threat.

Those outdated repeats of Van Damme, Stallone and Seagal's movies aren't really not worth of what we reluctantly fork out end of month.

And Netflix hasn’t killed DSTV's Premium, Netflix took a gap that DSTV missed, and filled this gap, and our lives with options. Not repeats, but options! Consumer should have choice. Yes, I'm talking about choosing your own channels. The complacency of incumbency is what will kill DSTV. #EvolveORDissolve! LOL.

deziclesthagawd thinking about it makes me sick. Its quite ridiculous that i still pay for DSTV Premium. Even when I have Netflix and Amazon. I have to make a life-changing decision soon, for my own sanity... and my wallet. Lol :)
