Season 2

A tale about inkabi (hitmen), eHostela returns for Season 2 as new leaders of the Brotherhood - this secret society of hitmen - finds itself under threat from a new sheriff in town.

Dumisani Dlamini, who appeared in one episode last season as Marocks, now plays Celemba; whilst Mduduzi Mabaso joins the cast in the role of AK.

Celemba and AK are new kingpins at the helm of the Brotherhood - and they have targets on their backs as Mndeni (Thobani Nzuza) comes to town and finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place.

He has to decide whether to rejoin the notorious hostel gang as an ally or as a police informant as Captain Moloi (Linda Sebezo) closes in on the eHostela's most feared gang.

Andy Mnguni joins the cast as Sikhakhane, a love interest of Celemba.

Will Captain Moloi succeed in convincing Sikhakhane and Mndeni to work against the Brotherhood by feeding information to her?

Also new this season is musician Sjava who plays Fish, Celemba's son.

This season finds Mndeni on a quest to find closure and perhaps new beginnings after his exit from the Brotherhood in Season 1, following his gang-style execution of his out-of-sorts stepbrother, Jama, to avenge the killing of his wife Khethiwe in front of members of the community.

Mndeni returns a year later, trying to find a sense of belonging having left the Brotherhood.

He moves to KwaDelinkani hostel in Johannesburg where he joyously reunites with his old buddies 2 Litre (Joshua 'Mjosty' Mbhele) and Vovo (Ernest Msibi), but this soon reminds him that he is alone and without any family.

What he thinks is a quick and once off visit to KwaDelinkani, quickly thrusts him back into the life he so desperately wants to get away from.

Unbeknownst to him, the life that he wants to get away from brings him closer to the family he has always yearned for... and perhaps a new beginning.

Season 2 is an M-Net Original Production based on a concept by Mthunzi Dubazane and produced for Mzansi Magic by Black Brain Pictures.

The executive producers for Season 2 are Mpumi Nhlapo, Mandla N and Annelie van Rooyen. Zikona Anam Debese is the producer.

The head writers are Gugu Zuma-Ncube and Mmamitse Thibedi, leading a writing team including Thuthu Zuma, Mthunzi Dubazana and Clive Madiya.

The Season 2 soundtrack is by Black Brain Pictures and Jamela J Ross.
