About the Show

eHostela is a South African television drama series set in KwaMashu which revolves around two brothers who - along with their father - run a powerful and secret organisation in a worker's hostel.

In the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, in KwaMashu township, there is a worker's hostel called Delakufa and within its walls is a secret which is spoken of only in whispers: The Brotherhood; a secret society of inkabi (hitmen).

This Brotherhood has operated in Delakufa hostel for years, masked in mystery and hearsay. The Brotherhood is led by the powerful Mancinza, with his son Jama and his adopted son Mndeni.

This is the story of these two sons, whose relation is bound in secrets and sealed by guns.

But can family stick together when they are not tied by blood, and what is the price of loyalty when you long to follow your own heart?

The series stars Thobani Nzuza, Wiseman Mncube and Lungelo Mpangase. Recurring cast include Bheki Sibiya, Zola Nombona, Zimiphi Biyela, Sthandwa Nzuza, Noxolo Mathula, Ernest Msibi and Joshua Mbhele.

eHostela is an M-Net Original Production based on a concept by Mthunzi Dubazane and produced for Mzansi Magic by Stained Glass Productions. The executive producers are Gugulethu Zuma-Ncube and Mmamitse Thibedi; Pepsi Pokane is a co-executive producer and Khobi Ledwaba is the producer.

The head writers are Bongi Ndaba and Thuli Zuma, leading a writing team comprised of Linda Bere, Pusetso Thibedi and Nonzi Bogatsu. The directing team includes Fikile Mogodi, Thuli Zuma and Mthunzi Dubazana.

The music composers are Musa Mhlongo and Mfiliseni Magubane.
