Season 1
Reunion is an American television drama series created by Jon Harmon Feldman and Sara Goodman which chronicles 20 years in the lives of a group of six high school friends from Bedford, New York, with each episode following one year in the lives of the six, beginning with their high school graduation year 1986.
Each episode also features scenes in the present where Detective Marjorino (Mathew St. Patrick) is investigating the brutal murder of one of the group during the night of their 20-year class reunion in 2006.
The series aired in the USA on Fox from 8 September to 15 December, 2005. There are 13 hour-long episodes in one season.
Reunion aired in South Africa on DStv's GO channel (which later became Vuzu) from 2 October to 25 December, 2006, on Mondays at 20h00. New episodes broadcast weekly.
Synopsis
In a 20 year long friendship between a group, things will change. But someone in this group dies and someone else in the group might be responsible ...
Part character drama and part murder mystery, Reunion chronicles the lives of a group of friends over the course of one season.
Reunion opens at the funeral of one of the friends, whose death is being investigated by Detective Marjorino. Before the identity of the deceased is revealed, we're transported back to 1986, as the group celebrates their high school graduation.
The group of friends are:
Will Malloy:
Will longs to leave his small town behind. Aided by an athletic scholarship, he is the first in his family to go to college. He's best friends with Craig and in love with Craig's girlfriend Samantha.
Craig Brewster:
Craig is the handsome and privileged son of real estate mogul Russell Brewster. He looks forward to joining the Ivy League with Samantha on his arm.
Samantha Carlton:
Sanantha wants to be a doctor and her fierce amibition is only surpassed by her looks and intelligence.
Jenna Moretti:
Jenna's obsessed with becoming a famous actress.
Aaron Trumbill:
Overachieving, cynical Aaron's hopelessly in love with Jenna and holds out hope that their relationship goes beyond being good friends. He's the nerd of the bunch and an IT wizz.
Carla Noll:
Carla's Aaron's best friend and hopelessly in love with him. Her passion is photography.
The pilot episode follows all six through their graduation summer of 1986 and follows the formative events that alter their dreams and desires forever. Episode two finds the group a full year later, in 1987 and episode three tells the story of a seminal event in 1988 until the story culminates in the season finale which takes place in 1998.
Along the way, two questions persist: Which of the friends is dead and who was responsible?
