Season 4

In the third season finale, Allison DuBois' (Patricia Arquette) life, along with the lives of her family, was uprooted as her psychic abilities were revealed to the public.

In the new season, everyone's lives have been turned upside down. Devalos has been retrenched and is now Private Citizen Devalos - meaning Allison has lost her job.

Allison starts to have dreams about a boy who was kidnapped from a toy store, and decides to call the company hired by the missing boy's family.

She makes an unusual deal with the company's investigator, Cynthia Keener - played by recurring guest star Anjelica Huston.

As the season goes on more will be revealed about Cynthia, who is hiding a terrible secret.

Other events this season include a young deaf girl getting kidnapped, which results in Allison losing her own hearing (thereby severly hampering the investigation), and a sinister political campaign targeted at Devalos is revealed.

Guest stars include Kelly Preston as Meghan Doyle, Joe's new business partner; Picket Fences star Kathy Baker as Joe's mother; and Rosanna Arquette as a cougar who enjoys seducing men - before killing them.
