Bio

John Cothran is an American actor best known for his role as Lewis Crump in the 1991 crime drama feature film Boy n the Hood, directed by John Singleton.

He has guest starred in numerous television series including Wiseguy (his television debut in 1990) and three roles in episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise.

Other television series he has appeared in include Viper, Seinfeld, Suddenly Susan, Brooklyn South, Felicity, General Hospital, City of Angels, 24, Charmed, monk, Shark, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, CSI: NY and Revenge.

He had a recurring role as the baseball coach in the third season of the comedy series Esatbound & Down, in 2012.

In 2015 he landed his first starring role in television as Captain Ernie Knubbins in the second season of the crime drama anthology series Murder in the First.
