Amanda Seyfried is an American actress and former child model, best known for her roles in the 2004 movie Mean Girls and the television series Veronica Mars and Big Love.
Seyfried started her career modeling at the age of 11, appearing on the cover of three Francine Pascal books. She landed her first contract role as Lucinda Marie 'Lucy' Montgomery on As the World Turns in 2000.
She appeared in her second contract role as Joni Stafford on All My Children in 2002.
It wasn't until she costarred along side Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls that her career started to boom. She played Karen Smith, a ditzy but beautiful and popular girl in school who's classified as one of the dumbest people you will ever meet.
Seyfried also had a recurring role as Lilly Kane on the teen detective series Veronica Mars, playing Veronica's best friend who was mysteriously killed at the beginning of the series.
She can also be seen in the independent films Nine Lives (alongside Glenn Close, Holly Hunter and Sissy Spacek), American Gun, where she stars opposite Donald Sutherland, Forest Whitaker and Marcia Gay Harden, and the film Alpha Dogs, A Nick Cassavetes project about a kidnapping that takes place over a drug debt.
Amanda plays the role of Julie with costars Justin Timberlake, Sharon Stone and Emile Hirsh.
