The Miniature Wife
Channel: M-Net (DStv 101)
TX Time: 21h00
Genre: Sci-Fi, Comedy
The Miniature Wife is a high-concept marital dramedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses, Lindy (Elizabeth Banks) and Les (Matthew Macfadyen), who battle each other for supremacy after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis.
The show is about a couple struggling with the imbalance of power in their marriage, in which the husband (a scientist) makes his wife (a novelist with writer's block) feel figuratively small and unheard.
Then, he accidentally shrinks her to six inches tall so now she's literally small and unheard as the metaphor becomes real.
This is an exploration of the fragility of love and ambition, cloaked in the absurdity of its premise.
But at its core, it's a love story and a remarriage story.
As they struggle to navigate the sobering truth of her new, miniature reality, they are forced to confront whether their marriage - and their love - can survive.
Perhaps, miniaturization is the epic reset these two needed to tackle the biggest crisis of their lives and fall in love all over again.
In the series premiere, ""Lady Tomato and Mr. F. Tomato-Head": When a world-renowned scientist on the verge of a miraculous scientific breakthrough accidentally shrinks his wife down to six inches tall, their already sizable marital problems grow even larger.

Survivor 23: South Pacific
Channel: eReality (Openview 108)
TX Time: 20h25
Genre: Reality Competition
Eighteen castaways will compete against each other on Survivor: South Pacific, when the series returns for its 23rd season.
Two of the 18 castaways are former castaways who will return to seek redemption.
The 18 castaways will be divided into two Tribes of nine: the Savaii Tribe and the Upolu Tribe, named after the two islands of Samoa.
The tribes are comprised of individuals from all different backgrounds with the same ultimate goal: to be the Sole Survivor.
While 16 of the contestants are new to the competition, two are former castaways who will be given another chance to compete for the million dollar prize.
Former Survivors Ozzy Lusth and Benjamin "Coach" Wade will join the 16 new castaways on Survivor: South Pacific.
Having never been awarded the title of Sole Survivor, Ozzy and "Coach" return to compete for the $1-million prize and a last shot at redemption.
Each one will join a separate tribe of new castaways at the start of the game, but it's up to the tribe to decide if they will welcome the knowledge of an experienced veteran, or view these former castaways as a threat in the ultimate battle to outwit, outplay and outlast.
In addition to the usual assortment of former beauty queens and models, Survivor: South Pacific's cast also includes a Harvard Law School student, an anaesthesiologist, a medical school student, a Brigham Young University English professor, a mortician, a country singer and former Nashville Star contestant, and the 19-year-old nephew of three-time Survivor villain Russell Hantz.
The Redemption Island twist returns in Survivor: South Pacific in which castaways who have been eliminated from the game will have an opportunity to return for a chance to win the million-dollar prize.
Each week at Tribal Council, when a castaway is voted off, they will be sent to live alone on Redemption Island and, in order to stay in the game, will need to compete in a duel against the next person eliminated at Tribal Council.
The winner of each duel earns the right to continue fighting for an opportunity to return to the game and the chance to compete for the title of Sole Survivor; and the loser is sent home.
