Home Inspector Joe

With 20 years in the New York City construction business, a sixth sense for safety and a family of his own to protect, licensed home inspector Joe Mazza is driven to keep his clients from buying risky, unsafe properties.

The series features Joe, his go-to designer Noel Gatts and his home-buying clients as they tour properties they love.

Buyers around the USA need every edge they can get in today's red hot seller's market and in every episode of Home Inspector Joe, Mazza will reveal the secrets, checklists and solutions that can help.

Clients who want peace of mind and reliable, worry-free homes that are gorgeous inside and out, count on Joe.

In the series premiere, "This Mold House": Joe helps buyers Matt and Giovanna by inspecting two potential properties to suss out hidden problems that require immediate attention.

Once critical repairs are made, Noel will open up the home's layout to create a spacious, budget-friendly kitchen and dining area that's perfect for entertaining.

Throughout the series, Joe's keen eye for safety hazards will identify issues from leaky chimneys and fireplaces to musty odours and mould.

Unraveled: The Stalker's Web

Channel: Investigation Discovery (DStv 171 / StarSat 223)
TX Time: 21h00
Genre: True Crime, Documentary

Unraveled: The Stalker's Web

Following the success of The Long Island Serial Killer, the next instalment of the Unraveled podcast and series anthology tracks the multi-decade wrath of Jason Christopher Hughes, who is believed to have stalked and terrorised upwards of 50 victims across more than a dozen states.

The podcast reveals dangerous and disturbing accounts from his accusers, exposing how this online predator unleashed vicious attacks that cost people their livelihoods, destroyed their marriages, and drove some to contemplate ending their lives to make it stop.

Co-hosts Alexis Linkletter and Billy Jensen investigate his trail of destruction and talk to his accusers - both men and women - who endured his decades of abuse before they were able to work together to unmask this predator.

Cyberstalking is a difficult crime to prove, and even more difficult to prosecute.

Vengeful predators have the ability to toy with people's lives to the point where their victims have no place to hide, and no laws to protect them.

On 30 March, 2017, Jason Chrisopher Hughes was formally indicted on five counts, four of which stemmed from stalking a pen pal from 4th grade in the 1970s - an example of Hughes's relentless pursuit of revenge at even the smallest perceived slight.

He was placed on house arrest, and in October 2020 Hughes pled guilty to one count of transmission of threat to injure.

Hughes awaits sentencing, but every possible outcome leaves his alleged victims caught between a disturbed human being and a justice system that can't figure out how to handle him.

Meanwhile, Bailey has her sights set on hiring new doctors, but she's having trouble finding viable options.

Digits

Channel: Curiosity Channel (DStv 185)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Documentary Series, Technology

Digits

Takes you on a deep dive into the history of the Internet with exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes insight into the remarkable technology that now permeates our lives.

The series explores the potential applications — and risks — of innovations like virtual reality, artificial intelligence and 24/7 surveillance.

Hosted by Derek Muller, creator of the YouTube Channel "Veritasium," the three-hour series reveals the often startling revelations and warnings issued by dozens of Internet scholars and pioneers, including America's most well-known whistleblower and former NSA contractor, Edward Snowden, who shed light on gaping privacy holes and future implications of constant connectivity.

You'll hear why Snowden feels everyone should be encrypting every message we send, and how closely we're on the cusp of artificial intelligence that could put the human race as we know it at risk.

In the series premiere, "Connecting to the Future": Muller escorts you to the physical heart of the Internet, revealing the very first message sent by UCLA professor Leonard Kleinrock, and demonstrating how Internet co-creators Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn devised a common protocol language that gave birth to the Internet as we know it.

In "Man vs. Machine," the second episode, get a sneak peek into how the Internet of Things will soon dominate daily life, along with a history of web advertising, search engines, tracking cameras and "cookies," revealing unsettling notions about how, when it comes to privacy, the Internet is unlike any other medium.

As Snowden provocatively points out, "TV is a medium that you watch. The Internet is a medium that watches you as you watch it."

And Episode 3, "Guardians of the Web," explores how our growing reliance on the web creates massive vulnerability to everything from cyber theft to a complete Internet system failure.

Muller introduces you to "white hat" hackers, the U.S. Secret Service's cybercrime division and even West Point soldiers, all of whom are working to protect us from the risks associated with persistent connectivity, as the Web transitions from a medium to a utility, on par with electricity.

With the estate locked down and a killer in the midst, Father Brown and the gang must find the real perpetrator.

In the Season 9 premiere, "The Menace of Mephistopheles": Goodfellow turns to Father Brown when he witnesses Mallory frame an innocent man.

Channel: CBS Justice (DStv 170)
TX Time: 19h00
Genre: True Crime, Reality

Cold Justice 3

Follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and a team of crime scene investigators and detectives as they crack cold cases.

Siegler, a Texas prosecutor for 21 years who has successfully tried 68 murder cases, and her team of crime scene investigators and trained detectives, put their vast knowledge and experience to work helping local law-enforcement officers and families of violent-crime victims get to the truth.

With a fresh set of eyes on old evidence, interrogation skills and access to advanced DNA technology and lab testing, Siegler is determined to bring about a legal and emotional resolution.

Taking on a different unsolved crime each week, the team carefully re-examine evidence, question suspects and witnesses, and chase down leads in order to solve cases that would have otherwise remained cold indefinitely.

In the Season 3 premiere, "Holiday Homicide": Kelly and Abbey Abbondandolo investigate the cold-blooded killing of a tow truck business owner.

They uncover a twisted world of alleged abuse, infidelity and a possible murder-for-hire plot.

Station 19 5

Channel: M-Net (DStv 101)
TX Time: 19h30
Genre: Police Procedural, Drama

Station 19 5

In Seattle, all firefighters are also trained EMTs and the crew at Station 19 is second to none.

Working in 24-hour shifts, these professionals spend so much time together that they build relationships unlike any others.

Practically raised at the station, Andy Herrera is a confident, badass firefighter who is also the daughter of Captain Pruitt, the formidable head of the firehouse.

Captain Pruitt was Andy's primary inspiration to become a firefighter, and is a mentor to both Andy and Jack Gibson, the lieutenant at Station 19.

Passionate and energetic, Jack is fearless — just the kind of guy you want coming to your rescue.

While Jack is fearless, Andy plays by the rules — but when these two are together, sparks fly and opposites attract.

Andy's best friend and confidant is Maya Bishop.

A former Olympic athlete, Maya has an innate competitive nature that pushes her to be the best firefighter in the house.

Meanwhile, charming Dean Miller is nothing short of passionate and jumps at the chance to be a hero.

He is also very aware of the appeal of a firefighter in uniform and is not afraid to use that to get a date or two with the ladies.

Travis Montgomery is the heart of the station, keeping everyone on track and helping his fellow team members grow.

After a traumatic event, he is also a stickler for following the rules and making sure the newbies stay in line.

As the youngest member of the team, Victoria "Vic" Hughes is eager to prove herself as a crucial part of the Station 19 family.

She often tends to meddle where she doesn't belong but rarely allows others insight into her personal life.

Rounding out the firehouse, the newest addition to Station 19 is rookie Ben Warren.

Ben traded in his scalpel for a fresh start as a firefighter but has a hard time realising that emergencies in the field are vastly different than those at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

While it's a shock becoming the newbie again, he's learning from the best and is up to the challenge.

The team also works closely with Seattle PD and often has run-ins with one of Andy's oldest friends (and former high school flame), Ryan Tanner.

After a traumatic event brings Andy and Ryan closer, it's impossible not to see the attraction.

In the Season 5 premiere, "Phoenix from the Flame": Relationships are challenged at Station 19 following Sullivan's actions at Maya and Carina's wedding, putting his marriage with Andy to the test.

Dean comes to terms with his feelings for Vic, while Travis rekindles an old flame.

The annual Phoenix Festival brings out some reckless behaviour in some of Seattle's citizens, challenging the teams at Station 19 and Grey Sloan Memorial.
