My Kitchen Rules South Africa 2

Channel: M-Net (DStv 101)
TX Time: 18h00
Genre: Reality Competition, Food

My Kitchen Rules South Africa returns with celebrity chef and musician J'Something and restaurateur extraordinaire David Higgs reprising their roles as the show's judges.

Based on the Australian format, the show kicks off with the pressure-cooker Instant Restaurant phase - during which each of the five foodie pairs have a turn to cook and entertain up a storm in their own homes, in a bid to impress the judges and their fellow competitors.

At the end of each episode, the guests around the table score the hosts on the quality and presentation of their three-course meal and after the entire table has had their turn, the couple with the lowest score is eliminated.

Savanna Newcomer Showcase 2018

Channel: 1Magic (DStv 103)
TX Time: 20h00
Genre: Comedy

The Savanna Newcomer Showcase, now in its sixth year and hosted by Skhumba Hlophe, gives fresh comedy talent the stage at the Soweto Theatre.

The event is attended by comedy industry bigwigs who come out to see who they should vote for in the newcomer category for the Comics Choice awards, which take place later in the year.

This award is made to the comic who, with a minimum of one year of professional experience, and a maximum of two, has caught the attention of the industry for being gifted with delivery, originality and consistency.

Miss South Africa 2018

Channel: Mzansi Wethu (DStv 163)

Genre: Pageant, Special

The 60th Diamond Jubilee event, televised live and simulcast on Mzansi Magic and M-Net, sees 12 of the country's beautiful and accomplished women compete to take the crown and follow in the footsteps of Miss South Africa 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, who went onto be crowned Miss Universe, and her successor, Adè van Heerden.

The pageant is hosted this year by Bonang Matheba and will take place at the Sun Arena at Time Square, Pretoria. The Top 12 finalists, who each receive a prize package valued at R180,000, come from six of the country's provinces.
