Season 2

Troukoors follows three best friends: wedding planner Jessica (Ilse-Lee van Niekerk); her sister Luca (Blyde Smit), a software developer; and her best friend Abi (Bianca Flanders), a professional baker.

Season 2 starts with Jessica still together with tasty chef Liam (Christiaan Schoombie); Luca trying to maintain a long-distance relationship with fantasy writer Stefan (Evan Hengst); and Abi on a sex fast we all know is going to be short-lived...

Season 2 adds Marlo Minnaar in the role of Hugo, a maths tutor who catches Abi's eye.

Ilse Klink also joins the cast as Patricia, Abi's mom and Karel's (Kevin Smith) ex-wife. A psychologist, Patricia is refreshingly supportive of Karel's upcoming wedding to Nathan (Melt Sieberhagen).

David Viviers joins this season as Justin, a game designer working with Luca on Stefan's game.

Also new this season are Carla Smith as Lexi, Liam's assistant chef who he thinks needs urgent baking lessons from Abi; and Kylie Fisher as Zamanti, an influencer whose wedding Jessica pitches on.

Troukoors is a Showmax Original Series, created and executive produced by Louis Pretorius and Albert Snyman for Infinity Films.

The executive producers for Showmax are Yolisa Phahle, Allan Sperling and Nomsa Philiso; the supervising producer is Tina Kruger.

The series was written by Louis Pretorius and directed by Nina Swart.
