Carla Smith is a South African actress best known for her starring role as Kittie Claasen in the kykNET drama series Tydelik Terminaal.

A graduate of the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor of Drama degree (2016-2018), she has appeared in numerous stage productions.

These include The Epicentre Butcher, Carpets, Bloed en Bodem, Loop, The B-File, Altaar, Peter Pan and Fiela se Kind.

She also played the role of Mia in the 2017 short film Die Maan Val Bewusteloos.

Carla made her television acting debut in March 2016 in the guest role of Suster Breedt on Season 11 of the kykNET soapie Binnelanders.

In 2019 she landed the role of Kittie Claasen, a 22-year-old honours student who must redefine her life after she is diagnosed with cancer, in the kykNET drama series Tydelik Terminaal (Temporarily Terminal).

It was her first starring role in television.
