Season 1

The Tracy Morgan Show is an American television sitcom created by David M. Israel and Jim O'Doherty and starring Tracy Morgan in his own primetime comedy as a hardworking family man and small business owner pursuing happiness with streetwise wit, attitude and wisdom.

Morgan stars in this sharp-edged family comedy as father, husband and small business owner Tracy Mitchell, who with his beautiful, no-nonsense wife Alicia (Tamala Jones), share their modest apartment with their two kids, 12 year-old Derrick (Marc John Jefferies) and 7-year-old Jimmy (newcomer Bobb'e J. Thompson).

At work at his auto garage, Mitchell is responsible for his other more dysfunctional family of mechanics: Spoon (John Witherspoon) and Bernard (Heavy D) who on a daily basis remind Tracy of the headaches of running a business as they contend with neighbourhood characters and would-be customers such as Freddie (Katt Williams).

Israel and O'Doherty (3rd Rock From The Sun) are the executive producers and writers of this Carsey-Werner-Mandabach/ Broadway Video Television/NBC Studios production.

Lorne Michaels (Saturday Night Live), David Miner (Greetings from Tucson), Dave Becky (The Hughleys), Marcy Carsey, Tom Werner and Caryn Mandabach (That '70s Show, Roseanne, The Cosby Show) also serve as executive producers.

Gary Halvorson (NBC's Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond) directed the pilot, written by O'Doherty and Israel.
