Season 2

Boston Legal is an American legal dramedy television series created by David E. Kelley and produced by David E. Kelley Productions in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television as a spin-off of The Practice, which follows the personal and professional exploits of a group of attorneys working at the law firm of Crane, Poole & Schmidt.

The series aired in the USA on ABC from 3 October, 2004 to 8 December, 2008. There are 101 hour-long episodes in five seasons.

Boston Legal originally aired in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel from 3 April, 2006 to 23 November, 2009. It later aired on DStv's M-Net HD channel (Season 5 only) and on TopTV's Fox Entertainment channel, beginning with Season 2.

See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2

Legal dramedy Boston Legal returns for a second season to tell new professional and personal stories about the group of brilliant but often emotionally and ethically challenged attorneys at Crane, Pool and Schmidt.

Unlikely kindred spirits Denny Crane and Alan Shore are back pushing the boundaries of the legal system while Shirley Schmidt continues to keep an eye on Denny, with whom she has a sexy, checkered past.

The firm's other attorneys include Brad Chase, an ex-Marine, who often finds himself in a battle of wills with Alan Shore and Paul Lewiston, the "lawyer's lawyer" who continually tries to save Crane from himself.

As things unfold in the season Alan faces the emotional turmoil of his strained relationship with Tara, Shirley has to deal with her ex-husband who pursues her despite the fact that he's about to be re-married and Paul gets re-united with his daughter who's a drug addict.

New to Season 2 are:

Denise Bauer: a tough, smart senior associate who is on track to making partner and who won't let anything (including a messy divorce) stand in her way.

Garrett Wells: an ambitious junior associate who sometimes has trouble recognizing when to back off.

Sara Holt: another junior associate who is highly intelligent (first in her class, editor of the Law Review) but challenged when applying her book-smarts to everyday law practice.
