Season 2

Dark Blue is an action/drama television series created by Danny Cannon and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer which revolves around Carter Shaw, the leader of an undercover unit who has dedicated his life to taking down the worst criminals in Los Angeles.

The series aired in the USA on TNT from 15 July, 2009 to 15 September, 2010. There are 20 hour-long episodes in two seasons.

Dark Blue premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel on Monday 1 February 2010, at 20h00. It later repeated on M-Net Action. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2 premiered on M-Net Series on Monday 31 January 2011, at 20h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 10 episodes in the second and final season.

Synopsis

Dylan McDermott is Carter Shaw, the leader of a crack undercover team of police officers whose relentless pursuit of LA’s worst criminals has cost him any semblance of a personal life.

His team consists of Ty Curtis (Omari Hardwick), a recently married cop who struggles to maintain his dual existence; Dean Bendis (Logan Marshall-Green), a shoot-from-the-hip officer whose activities make fellow team members question his loyalties; and Jaimie Allen (Nicki Aycox), a green patrol cop with a hidden past.

Dark Blue is produced by Warner Horizon Television, with Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Danny Cannon and Doug Jung serving as executive producers. KristieAnne Reed is co-executive producer. Cannon directed the pilot episode.
