Synopsis

ReGenesis is a one-hour drama series that revolves around the scientists of NorBAC ("North American Biotechnology Advisory Commission"), a fictional organisation with a lab based in Toronto.

The organisation investigates problems of a scientific nature, such as bio-terrorism, mysterious diseases or radical changes in environment throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

NorBAC is headed by David Sandström (played by Peter Outerbridge), the chief scientist and molecular biologist. Through this character the show often addresses topical social, political and ethical issues related to the science at hand.

The show's supporting cast includes Conrad Pla (The Terminal, The Sum of All Fears), Mayko Nguyen (Going the Distance), Dmitry Chepovetsky (I'll Be Home For Christmas, Mission to Mars), Sarah Strange (My Life As I Know It, White Noise), Greg Bryk (Men With Brooms), Enuka Okimbo and Rosa Laborde (Missing, 72 Hours).

ReGenesis is produced by Shaftesbury Films for Movie Central and The Movie Network in association with Showcase, and with the participation of the Canadian Television Fund, Rogers Cable Network Fund, the Independent Production Fund, and Corus Entertainment Inc.
