Mgidi Moms

Deeply rooted in one of the most sacred rites of passage in Xhosa culture, Mgidi Moms offers a fresh perspective on a tradition that has long been guided by men.

Initiation remains a respected and significant cultural practice, and the role of mothers in preparing for, honouring and celebrating this milestone continues to grow.

Their involvement reflects love, pride and a deep respect for heritage.

Hosted by Moshe Ndiki, each episode introduces a new zibazana, the mother of the initiate who is preparing for the life-changing moment.

Follow their journey from the early stages of planning through to the emotional send-off, gaining insight into the care, strength and resilience that define motherhood during this pivotal time.

Sister Boniface Mysteries 3

First there was Father Brown. Now, say hello to Sister Boniface.

This clever, moped-riding nun is the police's secret weapon for solving murders in this divine Father Brown spin-off.

Lorna Watson is back in the habit as Sister Boniface and countryside criminals should start saying their Hail Marys, as her faith in forensics is only rivalled by her passion for investigation.

It's the 1960s and police forensics are rudimentary.

Luckily the residents of the rural hamlet of Great Slaughter have a secret weapon - Sister Boniface.

This nun might be predisposed to forgive, but she's also one hell of an amateur detective.

If there's evidence to be found, Boniface will find it.

This season, Britain is in the grips of the 'Big Freeze' – the worst winter on record.

Sister Boniface and her fellow travellers are stranded in a train after a frozen coupling snaps, leaving the last carriages stranded in snow.

When The Star of the Orient, a precious jewel, is stolen from its safe and a passenger is discovered murdered, Sister Boniface must use her exceptional detection skills to decide who among the suspects is responsible.

But with little signs of rescue and a failing generator, passengers must also contend with a more pressing issue – freezing to death.

Elsewhere in the season:

- a famous organist is murdered mid-tune in the chapel,

- Great Slaughter's first sci-fi convention results in a mysterious kidnapping,

- and a 'dead cert' at the screen tests for the new 'Agent Best' ends up, well... dead.

To top it all, Felix has a challenge of his own when his fiancée Victoria arrives from Bermuda with an ultimatum which could change everything...

Big Cats 24/7

Set in the breathtaking Okavango Delta in Botswana, one of Africa's most dynamic landscapes, this series follows the intense survival struggles of big cats as their families and territory face dramatic upheavals.

Tracked through extreme seasons, from blazing fires to devastating floods and relentless droughts, both the cats and the crew are pushed to their limits as prey becomes scarce and waterholes dry up.

In the series premiere: The team begins a six-month expedition tracking lions, leopards and cheetahs in the Okavango Delta.

Wildlife cinematographer Gordon Buchanan follows one of the largest lion prides in Africa as they hunt to feed 28 hungry mouths, including tiny cubs.

Anna Dimitriadis tracks down the Okavango's most elusive big cat, the cheetah.

And local wildlife filmmaker Brad Bestelink reunites with his favourite leopardess, Xudum.

Meanwhile, a huge wildfire threatens the resident big cats and the team.
