The International Music Contest Intervision takes place live at the Live Arena in Moscow.
Representatives from over 20 countries – BRICS states (including South Africa), former Soviet republics, Latin American nations and Middle Eastern countries – will gather in the Russian capital.
Participating countries "independently selected" the "most outstanding representatives" of their national music scenes.
The winner of the contest will be determined by a vote of the International Professional Jury, composed of renowned music experts from each participating country.
According to the producers of the show the contest will serve as a platform to demonstrate mutual respect for traditions and moral values, while highlighting national identity and the cultural diversity of the participating nations.
South Africa is represented by the group Mzansi Jikelele who'll be performing their song Home.
Ntsiki Mazwai is on the jury.
The competition will stream on SABC Plus at 19h30 and a delayed broadcast will air on S3 on Sunday at 14h00.

In the series premiere, "Pilot": When Bobbie inherits her late father's tavern, Happy's Place, she's shocked to learn that she also has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew existed.
In the second episode of the weekly double bill, "Tapped Out": When Isabella starts trying to make changes to the tavern, Bobbie worries that this new partnership may not work out.
Bobbie offers to take Isabella under her wing so she can learn the ins and outs of the tavern, but runs into an obstacle when Happy's lawyer fumbles Bobbie's plan.
Halloween Wars 14

Jonathan Bennett returns to host the new season of Halloween Wars where eight teams of masterful pumpkin carvers, cake bakers and sugar artists compete against each other to create mindblowing monster themed displays.
Captained by former champions, each team must capture the essence of iconic and classic Halloween monsters with mouth-watering treats made to impress returning judges Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira.
In the end, one team will be left standing and walk away with the Halloween Wars championship.
In the Season 14 premiere, "Classic Halloween Horrors": Jonathan welcomes four teams to the first of two qualifying rounds, where each team of talented cake, sugar and pumpkin artists must create a scene depicting a monster from a specific historical period.
Judges Shinmin Li and Aarti Sequeira decide which three teams move onto the main round of competition and which team is history.
Halloween Baking Championship 10

Host John Henson is the caretaker of a haunted hotel and welcomes the competitors to an eight-week stay, unless their baked goods fail to impress the judges, in which case they will have to "check out".
In the Season 10 premiere, "Laboratory Story": Ten bakers explore the Chemistry Laboratory at Henson Labs, where the safety rating is negative 35.
Lately, the spirits who haunt the lab have been demolishing all the beakers and petri dishes, so John leans into this devastation and tasks the bakers with creating broken glass desserts that feature sugar glass.
Then, there's been a horrible spill in the Chem Lab, so John has a little fun with it and asks the bakers to create sinister bubbling desserts inspired by the toxic mess.
Judges Carla Hall, Zac Young and Stephanie Boswell test their poison tolerance before sending one baker to the cryo-freeze.
